I think its sayin that there's no point in life and your gona die either way. Clairvoyant means "perceiving things beyond the natural range of the senses" so obviously this person put deep thought into the point of life, and when he didn't find one, he decided there was no point for himself to live.

It basically means guilt is consuming a man's soul till the point he kills himself.
