Avenged Sevenfold: Girl I know Meaning
Girl I know Lyrics
That comes alive when you take off her clothes
There's no telling just where she's been
Ask around but no one seems to know yeah
(yeah)
Late at night when you're looking to sin
Call her up and she'll...

I see it as a song about men falling in love with a girl they know isn't the best girl. It talks about how sin and lust consumes us and gets us no where but somewhere bad....hell. Like a priest once said "The Devil's most powerful weapon is the lust of the eyes". This song, in particular, shows us to avoid making the errors the man in the song clearly made with the woman he knew would have intercourse with him. It also tells us to not be blind, that sin, sex and adultery in this particular case, will feel good, but that is until we go see God our Father and get judged on, and clearly this man will have to pay with going to hell.

Thanks guys. This song makes sense now! But when i hear the word sin, it dosen't sound right and i think of syn!

Yeah, girl i know is obviously about lust and sin. and about how one can get so consumed in it that it does change them. Not really an interpretations. but more so an elaboration...

Okay, "Girl I know" (in my opinion, may not be right) is many talking about sin and how lust can change you. It says "We've all been more than eager to sin And it feels alright Til we pay the price" basically saying that sinning feels good until we realize it is wrong. Then it says " Now you choose either naughty or nice Cause she's here for you it's all yours tonight" stating that its a lustful thing that you can't help but obey. Then after Syn's solo he says " The first time's hard enough But you made it though The second time I see the changes in you She's got you somehow Your needing her now" saying that you got mone taste of sin and that now you want more of it and the changes in you start to show.
