   it's about pain, and lonelyness, and being an outcast. BVB is saying that they understand all that and are there for you. this song is basicly FOR you.

   It's about self-harm. "Born into the night" is synonymous with depression and how dark it is. Obviously the only people who understand are the ones who go through it and all the rich, popular kids will never understand what it's like to be at the bottom and ready to give up. "Pain will shine a light" because for a little while after you self-harm you feel better. It helps a little and for just a little while there's a light. "Children surrender" is just meanign that we're giving in to the self-harm and depression and not fighting it anymore. "Sunlight burns" is meaning that seeing all these happy, sunny people with perfect lifes makes you hurt worse, because you can't be like them and it makes us surrender again.

   I think this song is about not being able to fit in and how hurting yourself is not the answer but if you choose to do it anyways that someone is always there for you caring about you and worried. No matter how alone you feel.

   Everyone's talking about vampires. Come on people. They're not vampires. When it says "And our pain will shine a light to those who understand" it's pretty much saying that only people who understand being outcasts and loners understand what they're talking about. Popular kids and people like that wouldn't understand how much it hurts to be pushed away. And I think "sunlight burns" part is talking about the smart remarks other people like to make to outcasts. And that's why they surrender. They give up on trying to fit in and just stay outcasts. Nothing to do with vampires.

   self harm, pain, lonliness, all this will shine a light, meaning, no matter how far you get with pain, there is always someone outthere for u either thinking of u or the same as you, and there is a light, even a tiny speck of it, stay strong all of you outcasts, were all thinking of u.... never give in....

    I think it's about not fitting in, feeling pain about being not accepted. Also in the beginning they say "And our pain will shine a light to those who understand." That might be saying we'll be there for you when you feel lonely.

    Vampires. Sunlight burns and sink your teeth into forever. Vampires live forever and they are of a damned race probly i mean they're not really among the dead or the living. Idk what the other part means though but I still think its mostly about vampires
