Black Veil Brides: Fallen Angels Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Fallen Angels Lyrics
We are the Fallen Angels
We are the in between, cast down as sons of war.
Struck to the earth like lightning, on this world we're torn.
We won't cause the pain, of living out their law.
Take joy in who you...

#1 top rated interpretation:It's really quite obvious, it's about not fitting in and feeling like an outcast. It's like we are the ones locked out, no one lets us in, but there are others just like us and you really do belong as a 'Fallen Angel'. They want you to be who you want to be, no one can tell you that you're not gonna make it big, or should be someone you're not happy with. 'We're bored to death in heaven' - That part, BVB are a secular group, it's a metaphor! It means we don't fit in with the 'good kids' and with the 'bad kids' it's like a gang, we've all got friends but we stand alone. Understand?

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:"Fallen Angels" is about being an outkast in a normal world. It's about being yourself wanting to be yourself. Also, it's about sticking together no matter what.
-
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:I think its about being yourself even if that means being all alone. "We're bored to death in heaven and all alone in hell" meaning they don't quite fit in anywhere but with each other. I also think it means that in life you have to find the people that are like you and understand you even if that means you guys are all alone at least you have each other.

It has self interpretation, it's all about fallen angels [Satan and his angels] that was chase down by Almighty God. "Scream shout" there were thunder and lighting when the Devil was hauled down on earth. “we are the in between, cast down as sons of war"... This means they are the angels cast down from heaven when they rebel against God, that they are the out come of war in heaven (Ezekiel 28:13-17). "struck to the earth like lightning, on this world we are torn" .... It's means as Satan was haul down by God to earth he becomes a trouble to the inhabitants of Earth. "We won't cause the pain, of living out their law" this means He [Satan] will(2 Corinthians 11:14-15) not cause the pain of living without the law of God in heaven where he was hauled off. (Isaiah 14:12-14)
Scream, Shout, Scream, Shout.

I think that the lyrics are quite straightforward. "we are the in between...we're bored to death in heaven and down alone in hell, we only want to be ourselves". they mean that they aren't with the 'good' kids, but they're not 'bad' kids. they are not a stereotype anything. they are who they are, and nobody can change that. "cast down as sons of war," many, many fans are fighting something, be it depression, a nervosa (anorexia or bulimia), suicide, or self-harm. even they are fighting their own secret wars with themselves. "struck to the earth like lightning, on this world we're torn" they feel like they were forced into society's standards, but they broke out, possibly for no other option.
The world obviously doesn't approve of them, so they tore themselves away from it. "we won't cause the pain of living out their laws" we won't hurt you; we will protect you from what society wants to turn you into. "take joy in who you are; we know our wings are flawed." be yourself, that's one thing nobody can take away from you: your character. "we scream, we shout, 'we are the fallen angels!'" screaming and shouting aren't quiet. they aren't going to be quiet because somebody doesn't like them. they love who they are (even if they don't realize it yet) and trust each band member with their lives. "to those who sing alone: no need to feel the sorrow" we have all felt alone at one point or another in our lives. they will always be there with a song, reminding you to look a little higher and that things get better and they will always stand not just for you, but beside you. "follow the mourning star, a light when darkness fell" even in the darkest times, there is still a prick of light and hope, even if it is microscopic. hold onto it and follow it; it can help you.
"A passion left unholy, now you find yourself. we have nowhere to go, no one to wish us well." the darkest point in the struggle. you feel unclean and dark, like you are no longer a use to anyone, and dejected. but they have been there, too. try to rise above it, because just because you felt alone didn't mean you were. "a cry to find our home, our story they will tell." they fell from where they want to be, and some of their friends have stopped trying to find the old them, before the storm of pain came, but they will always remember you at your best. -
It means everyone has the freedom to express themselves and to not be ashamed of who you are.
-
It means that if you're an outcast, Be proud of it because everyone was born different for a reason! "We're bored to death in Heaven and all alone in Hell" They're bored with trying to fit in or they're bored with trying to be normal or part of the "it" crowd, And they're still alone in the "bad kids" type of crowd. "We only want to be ourselves" They want to be themselves without being judged for it! x

This song is telling you to be yourself.
-
this song is about being an outcast. it also lets on that their is nothing wrong with it and well who wants to be normal? quoting the famous words "normal is a setting on a washing machine, who wants to be that?"
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
i think what the band iz trying to say is that you should be yourself and not what others want you to be.
-
i think this song means that you dont really belong with a certain group, you just want to be yourself. in every group you sort feel you dont belong and stick out. you arent a bad person but you arent a good one either but you dont care that you are yourself, a fallen angel and a outcast so you are going to let the world know and scream and shout. that is what i think it means.
-
I think the song is just trying to get bvb's original message out and that's to be yourself. I don't care what anyone says bout them being atheist, the song has nothing to do with that its just them not fitting in with the "good kids" and trying to be the "bad kid" gets lonely and all they did was use heaven and hell as a metaphorical way to express that.
-
I think this means that, no matter how everyone else is you have to be yourself. "We bored to death in heaven and all alone in hell" is saying that they dont want to be with the good kids or the bad kids so they just want to be themselves.
-
Well, in a interview thing Andy said about the song being a call out to all misfits. BVB are a band where all the members are misfits and outcasts... Fallen angels literally shows that no matter how unique you are, you have to be yourself, because however you are, not everyone will accept you so you just have to be yourself. It says 'We're bored to death in heaven and all alone in hell,We only want to be ourselves.' This literally means they are neither good nor bad, and are their own group, that they do not care wether they fit in or not.
-
actually fallen angles are what happened when the war of god and the devil began, when the devil was sent down to hell he took 1/3 of the angels with him witch would be called the fallen angles, im not saying this is a religious act but if you look up the interview about the song on youtube he even says thats what the song is about.
-
I believe it is just another way of saying "Shut up and just be the person you already are!" and not letting what others say, or think, or believe get in the way of you. Of not letting the world get you down, just accepting that thats their opinions. Its about doing the wrong things, hense the "fallen angels" bit, and living a little. But most of all I think its about knowing that you are not alone, that their are others out their feeling the same way you do, and yes, you may feel alone, that no-one cares, but one day that will change, because you will find the rest of us, hense: WE are the fallen angel. BVB forever, remember, Stay Cool~
