Breaking Benjamin: Blood Meaning
Song Released: 2018
Blood Lyrics
Every endless word, I have nothing here
Sick of all that was, tired of all that is
Every hated love I have broken in
Sick of fucking up, tired of falling in
[Pre-Chorus]
And all that I regret
I have before, I will...
-
In this song, the subject is being tired of the way things are and all of the nothing that is there. This may not be the complete absence of all things in his life, this could be the shallowness of worldly things and the lack of satisfaction that they bring. Because of these things he hates what he has become, and he alludes to facing that monster to change (face the monster i've become), begging for forgiveness over this monster. This monster carries the regret, even after forgiveness is long in the rearview mirror.
Always remember to think before you say or do. Make sure the thing you are about to say is what you mean, good or bad. Make sure the second and third order effects are what you actually want.
Take this as you will and have a wonderful time in the name of Jesus.
