Blow Me Away Lyrics
They form a line
One at a time
Ready to play
(I can't see them anyway)
No time to lose
We've got to move
Steady your helm
(I am losing sight again)
[Bridge:]
Fire your guns
It's time to run
Blow me away
(I will stay in...

#1 top rated interpretation:Yes the song Blow Me Away is in fact a song made specifically for the Halo 2 Soundtrack, The song was also in fact made for the essence of war. So basically Y'all are all right. Oh by the way it is spelled Spartans not Spatens, just to let you know.

#2 top rated interpretation:It means specifically THAT battle that it plays in. Here's line by line.
(They Fall in line, one at a time) You kill them one at a time.
(Ready to play) They fight back.
(I can't see them anyway) There's a lot of cover and they can hide.
(No time to lose) Kill them before they kill you.
(We've got to move) Keep moving.
(Steady your helm) Don't miss.
(I am losing sight again) It's a dark room.
(Fire your gun) Um, SHOOT THEM!
(It's time to run) Move too slow, They shoot you.
(Blow me away) You fight Hunters.
(I will stay, in this mess I made) He, The Master Chief, started this by killing Regret.
(After the fall, We"ll shake it off, Show me the way.) After you die, you respawn and go through the same door.
(Only the strongest will survive) You have to be the last thing standing for the doors to open.
(Lead me in heaven when we die) Again, you respawn.
(I hear a shadow on the wall) You fight cloaked elites at the end.
(I'll be the one to save us all) The Chief is fighting for all of humanity.
(There's nothing left, so save your breath) The Elites at the end are supposed to be reinforcements for Elites, but the battle is already lost.
(Lying in wait) You hide a lot to avoid being shot.
(Caught inside this tidal wave) It's a HUGE fight.
(Your cover's blown) They realize you're there after a little bit.
(Nowhere to go) The doors lock behind you.
(Holding your fate) Keep your gun handy.
(Loaded, I walk alone) You're on your own, find your own ammo.
(Wanting it back) Galactic peace?
(Don't fight me god!) Everything goes against you.
(Here I come!) You do the majority of the killing.
(Die!) Kill, kill, kill. I think there's strategy in this battle somewhere.
(Save us all) Again, he's fighting for humanity. -

Hahaha all are GREAT comments personally I take it how one relates to the song on a personal level. For me its THE world today and the epidemic on ?addiction. The war the battle of addiction. Also as we got to come together as a community to help. Jesus Christ will be the one to save us .

I personally thought that they were singing about multiplayer mode.
-
I love this song, it's epic. I had no idea it was for halo 2. I know it's about fighting in war and battle. It would have been awesome in "the avengers".
-
I have to say if it was as said Made specifically for Halo 2 then it seems like it fits Master Chief and describes him and his experiences well makes even more sense if you read the books.
That's what I think it is a song about the Chief, and this fight.
although you can apply it to any battle. -
It's about Halo 2.
-
It is an epic song for an epic game. What is there to interpret?
-
guys your all right and wrong at the same time, blow me away was never about one thing, it is about war period, not one specific event
p.s. love this song and wish to see it in other games than halo 2, ma favorite game of all time -
Um. I thought they were Russian's attempting to take over American soil? Makes sense.
-
You guys it all wrong, this song's is singing in the elites' shoes. Although elites are the bad guys in halo 2, they have strong fighting spirit, they fight till death, they are very united.
(lead me to heaven when we die) elites has their own religion(just think about prophets) so they believe sacrificing their life in battle will lead them to heaven. It's hard to explain, you have to know the hole story of halo and stand in elites' shoes -
Well I think the song is about a war that is taking place and is in immense combat. He is saying that only the strongest people in this world will survive. That when we all die that we should go straight to heaven for helping fight his war.He is saying that he will be the one who will help save us all and in return he wants nothing but to be remembered. This is what I think how about you.
-
Go see a breaking Benjamin show. They say they wrote this specifically for and about halo 2.
-
The real meaning came from the fight the Navy SEALs went through on Murphy's Ridge in Afghanistan in 2004. 19 special ops were killed, 11 of them being SEALs. Stupid
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
Don't lose your sight as in make sure you can see the enemy. nothing to do with sights on guns, how are you going to lose one of those?
