Breaking Benjamin - Hollow Meaning

Hollow Lyrics
Heaven holds a place for us tonight
I am paralyzed
Close your eyes
Drive away the cloud that hides the light
And leave the pain behind
Dead alive
Find a way to bury all the lies
Escape the pain inside
‘Cause I don’t want to...
-
I think This song describes what it's like to be walked out on. You plead with the person, and hope that they come around. I also think that the one who left him was feeling depressed... [find a way to leave The pain behind].
After the breakup, the guy is feeling depressed too... and words are hinted in how he feels about The breakup --> "Hollow"
The title itself expresses that void feeling you have after the love of your life has ended it with you. You're just a shell of who you once were. Nothing is left. You're empty. Going through The motions of living, always missing the one that got away.
Maybe that's just how I interpreted the song.
This person doesn't want to move on. -
I think it's about how he fell in love with someone, but they didn't work out. Her love left him feeling a bunch of negative emotions; bollow, cold, crippled, and shallow. He won't let her go and says he'll be with her in the end; like he'll always be there for her. He's almost afraid to be left behind by her. He's crazy about her hence, "I come undone".
