During both tracks you can hear what sounds like planes taking off and an intercom in an airport. They have this because Ben has a phobia of flying. He has many more phobias, that's why the thrice album was named it.

..... I wanted to use thrice it sounds cool.

Ben burnly has quite a number of fears

    Fear of the dark
    (Mainly) fear of flying
    Fear of Turbulence
He doesn't like getting in cars either
He's fine with boats (as long as the trip is calm)
    I can't remember anything else

Intro doors close and what sounds like a plane taking off but if you listen carefully you can hear a lady say something about seat bealts. Then in the outro you can hear again the same lady say the same thing about the seat belts then you hear what sound like alarms followed by screams of people. To me it sounds like a plane crash.

Well, you can't only hear planes and stuff, but also sounds of car doors closing etc. and, in the beginning of the intro, a beating heart after the car starts. As said, all standing for Ben's many phobias.
