Bruno Mars: Talking to the Moon Meaning
Talking to the Moon Lyrics
Somewhere far away
I want you back
I want you back
My neighbours think
I'm crazy
But they don't understand
You're all I have
You're all I have
[Chorus:]
At night when the stars
light up my room
I...
-
I agree - I think it's someone who has passed on and who he misses - doesn't have to be a girlfriend but can be a family member or someone he was close to. When I hear this song I think of my grandmother.
-
I believe it's about him mourning over a girl that passed away.
"my neighbours think I'm grazy" because he talks to a dead person
"I hope you're on the other side" well otherside is a name for the place dead people go to.
And he talks in the evening because at day there are no ghost.
"they say I've gone mad" mad of the loss he can't go over it.
This is what I think. -
I think the song is about him trying to a girl that doesn't feel quite the same way that he does. Unrequited love. It could also be that he is trying to communicate with his significant other that he feels he is losing. That's what i think when i listen to the song, because its exactly what im going through right now. This song expresses exactly what i want to say to her. I know your there, just listen to me, because I'm trying to get to you to make this right. Your my everything, your "all i have".
-
I too believe he has very much loved someone that has pased on to the other side. He cannot forget her and still misses her. How sweet that he talkes to the moon to try to get to her.
-
I honestly think it's about someone who he loved that past away that he still can't get over.
