I think that Perri is in love, but like me, she doesn't want to open up. She doesn't want to get hurt. So she starts to pull away. But I think that "Arms" doesn't mean anything other than arms. "Arms" represents love and strength. She begins to pull away, then he puts his arms around her and all of her walls come down. She is forced to let him in. But she's never REALLY let anyone in before him because of fear of getting hurt. But she keeps changing her mind. "I don't know if I'll let you save my life or if I'd drown." he is being really supportive and she feels frusturated because he's not doing anything to make her hate him.In the end, she makes the right decision: she stops pulling away, she stops for two seconds and realizes that he's the one, that she gonna let herself fall so he can catch her.
Like I said, this song has a very deep meaning to me. -

#2 top rated interpretation:i believe this song is about a girl who falls in love with a boy she never knew shed have a chance with. this is about the girl being insecure and her knowing that he deserves better. because of her insecurities she has has walls up and when she sings "I believe that it's easier for you to let me go" shes saying that she doesnt want him to stay with her just for her to be happy because shes never going to be good enough for him, but at the same time she "cant decide if she'll let him save her life, or if she'll drown". this whole song is what she feels and how she feels about him, she doesnt believe she deserves him and she wants to see him happy so shes willing to leave him even if it hurts her. but she hopes he will see right through all of those walls, and stop her from leaving because shes ready to.

I also relate it to mine,When I watched the video it touched me hard,It is totally some one like me
I love him and serious for commitment,he is afraid of taking it serious,need more time and is not in a struggle as I am(he is sleeping in white blanket with an innocent face)
I sometimes decide to date some one else and leave to marry,I sometimes initiate it but then again without him knowing what happened to me ,I'm back to him

I think it's about a girl who gave a guy a chance and ended up falling for him. But in the process of getting to know eachother she tried to make it seem like she was perfect. Now, she's not sure if he will accept her imperfections and flaws. She sees herself as a bad person because of this and it causes problems in the relationship. She doubts that he will still love her after she shows him her flaws and therefore she's scared. But, she doesn't want to lose him because she truly loves him. She wages war with herself trying to figure out if she will let him see the true her or if she will drive him away to save both of them the pain and heartache.

I think its about a girl who is scared if he gets too close that she'll hurt him or drive him away. I think she has a past that she doesn't want him to know because she's afraid he'll walk away. But she is too in love with him to walk away so she stays in his arms.
When she says "I hope that you see right through my walls" she means that she wants to tell him but doesn't want to say it, herself because she's afraid he'll hate her. -
Arms is about how a woman falls in love with a person she'd never expect to. Like a person who she previously hated or held vendetta with. But in the end, she found that he was the only one who she could be with, regardless of how much she had to hurt, and hurt him, to get that message across.

I think maybe she's in love as she's afraid to show it and the walls is like what's keeping her from actually telling him but I hop you see through right through my walls mans I hope you know I love you without me having to tell you plus it sounds like she's afraid to trust because it says save my life or if ill drown. Such a powerful song!
