Bluebird Lyrics

How the hell does a broken heart get back together when it’s torn apart?
Teach itself to start beating again?

This little bluebird came looking for you
I said that I hadn’t seen you in quite some time
And this little bluebird, she came...

I don't think there's another girl. This whole song is an internal debate with herself. The bluebird refers to the heart and her hurting probably from the break-up.This is opposed to her other side which is her head. Her head is clear that he is not worth it. This debate is clear in the verse that starts with 'don't you think it was hard'... The bluebird/heart says 'she may be better than all the rest' but the head says no, you're wrong. He's not special.

The bridge 'what if when she comes over I am in your arms? Taking all I want from you again' is her (head) being worried that if he comes back for her, her heart/bluebird might take over and be reckless and take him back.

Lastly, the final verse 'this little bluebird, don't come round here anymore' means that she is truly over him and not heartbroken anymore. She went to find the bluebird, probably to find the feeling of love and being in love. And she found 'you' which is someone better than her ex.

This song caught my attention because I liked the melody. Then on closer listening, I truly think the lyrics are meaningful and very well written. I love it.

i think this song is about a girl who still misses her ex. her heart "the bluebird" keeps telling her that she misses him, but her head says that he doesn't matter to her anymore. finally, the head wins and the girl starts to wonder where her heart went, and why she can't feel anything anymore. when she finally finds her heart, she finds her ex because she's unknowingly given her heart to him.

I think it's referring to a girl just after a breakup (which leads to the analogy of a bluebird, because she's "free as a bird", but she still sad, or "blue"), and a different girl who liked the guy wanting him. Because it was just after the breakup, the Bluebird decided that she didn't need him, and couldn't stand the idea of being friends with him. About the guy being dead, it could go along with the saying, "You are dead to me," meaning that whatever person, in this case, the guy, doesn't matter to her anymore. But she says that as started to cry, meaning that even though she said that she doesn't care about him, she actually does and misses him. She goes on to speculate about if she went back to him, and how the other girl would feel. At the very end, she decides to go talk to the girl about it, and she finds the boy at the girl's house, further breaking her heart, because that meant that he had already moved on.

well, i pretty much think that the song is about christina losing someone she once loved, and that this "bluebird" is the messenger, who decides to break the news that either a. their love for each other is fading, of b. that the person she loved has passed. christina is a great songwriter. she has a lot of great tune's (:D) to jam too. one of her other good one's include, arm's. and a thousand years.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I actually think christina perri is the narrator and the bluebird. The bluebird is widely accepted as a symbol of happiness/joy and in the song I believe that there are two parts of her; one (the bluebird) being the part that wants to be happy and knows the certain guy can bring that and the other half of her doesn't want to be with him for some other reason. The reason I think this is partly because I am/was in a similar situation and eventhough I new I should be with this certain guy, I was stubborn and irrational and waited until it was too late.

I think the bluebird is her heart. Since they're broken up her heart is free like a bird but sad as in blue. Her heart (the bluebird) keeps asking for him but she doesn't want to be in love so she tells her heart that he's gone/dead to her. Her heart continues begging and begging for him but she keeps telling her heart no. She fears that one day she'll lose it and go back to him without telling her heart an her heart will beat once again for him. She loses her bluebird and goes looking for it and she finds that the guy has her bluebird/heart :D

    A beautiful Love/hate song..
I think The blueBird is her inner voice, she's still in love with him after the break up..She's trying to get over him..and attempts to distance herself frm her Inner Voice/Feelings(The BlueBird)she's having constant talks/arguments with herself (Bluebird)..at one point gets upset tells her Inner voice that she can have him..In her heart(BlueBird) he's still better than the rest..but she's trying to be practical..trying to move on and rejects those thoughts by reminding herself that she wrote this heart broken song for him..This break up changes her..days/months go by and she tries hard to get back to being herself once again but finds him instead.

I kind of think that it means she and a guy broke up but she still loves him and won't admit it. Another girl, decided that she wanted him and asked her if she still talked to him. I think the "I didn't even say that you died" could be that she wanted to make excuses for the other girl not to talk to him.

her boyfriend had left her and there was a girl in line to take her place. the "bluebird" could've been checking up on her, seeing if she was okay. but, also if the "bluebird" could have her recent boyfriend.

"This little bluebird won’t come around here anymore
So I went looking for her, and I found you"

at the end of the song, you can interpret it 2 ways:
1... the girl isn't asking about the guy anymore, so christina goes and looks for her, to talk to her about it all,
and while she is looking, she changes her mind and gets back together with the guy

2 the girl isn't asking about the guy anymore, so christina goes and looks for her, to talk to her about it all,
and she finds the guy with the girl, "further breaking her heart because he has already forgotten about her"

This song is about someone who was good friends with the man mentioned in this song. She had feelings for him and suspected he had feelings for her, but they never acted on it. After awhile he got frustrated, or they got in a fight and they stopped communicating. However, she's still in love with him. She's reflecting on how to get over her broken heart, when another girl comes around. She's interested in the man Perri loves. Perri is trying to get over him and hasn't spoken to him in awhile hence"I didn't even say that your died. But would it of been such a lie?" She's saying it wouldn't be much of a lie because they don't see eachother anymore, at all. The
"bluebird" keeps coming around and trying to get to the man Perri loves and she tells the other woman, she can have him ("I said we weren't even friends, she could have you"). But she doesn't mean it she's still in love with him. The bluebird thinks this man is fantastic and Perri knows that but she tries to downplay it. Finally she's reflecting again on how to seal her freshly opened wounds. Then, to wrap it all up, the other woman stops coming around. When Perri goes to look for her, she finds her with the man she's in love with.

I think it's talking about another girl, maybe a friend, came to talk to Christina about getting together with Christina's ex-boyfriend. The girl (bluebird) was looking where the boy might be, and Christina said she "hadn't seen him іn quite ѕοmе time." When the girl came looking a second time, Christina told her that she wasn't even friends with the boy, and that the girl (bluebird) can have him. It was hard for Christina to say, because she could have told the girl (bluebird) that her ex had died, and the girl would have stayed away from him. Since she started to cry, it shows that she wasn't over him yet. The girl she calls bluebird comes around a third time, and swears that he way be better than all the other boys she had liked. Christina insisted that he wasn't anything special. All of the "you's" in this song are referring to her ex. Christina had a thought that she might get back together with her ex, and that the girl (bluebird) would come again and find the two of them together, which shows that she's still having thoughts of getting back together with him. He broke Christina's heart, and she's trying to get over the feelings she has for him, and move on. Then, the girl (bluebird) won't come back to visit Christina, so she went looking for her and found found her with her ex. At the end, it means that the girl (bluebird) got together with her ex. She's happy for them, and the happy sound means that she's finally over the feelings for him.

In my opinion the little blurbird is herself.I think she's talking about how she is as "free as a bird" but she's "blue about it. So she tries to mend her broken heart by finding herself and she burries away her sorrow. but at the end she realizes that she's more herself whith him. I don't think their is another girl i think she's referring to her own mistakes on breaking up with him from a another point of veiw.

I think this song is about a girl who is the "other woman." I think the Bluebird is the girl the guy is cheating on. Bluebird is sad because she thinks she's being cheated on but she's not sure. So she goes and asks the other girl. And the other girl (the first person) says they're not even friends. Then she says, "It wouldn't have been such a lie.." Trying to sort of justify the fact that she lied about not knowing the guy. And then Bluebird says that she thinks "he is the better than all the rest," and the other girl is like, "no, you've got it all wrong." Kind of like saying, "you don't know what he's done to you..and me." So at the end when Bluebird doesn't come around anymore looking for her boyfriend, the other woman is going to go tell her the truth, but then she finds the guy with Bluebird...

The way I see this song is sort of an inner struggle with herself. I think the bluebird is supposed to be her inner voice telling her that this guy is worth it and that she should go back to him, while another part of her is telling her she shouldn't. That's how i interpreted it when I first heard it.
