I think this song is about a girl who left home to try and make it out on her own, in a new town (Hollywood?). Sounds like Christina's own personal story. She is obviously struggling with some kind of issues that are holding her back from being successful and happy. She knowns she isn't going to find success if she doesn't change something. She left a loved one behind, said goodbye three thousand miles away, wants this person to come to her where she is. She is also talking about how you won't get help from others "being saved" unless she allows herself to "break" - be open, be open to change, etc. Because when you aren't, good things don't come easy, or at all. I feel like I have a good grasp on this song because I am going through a lot of the same things. I love this song and it made me cry the first time I heard it because I could relate so much to her struggle and all she is saying.

Nobody will save (her) if she won't change (she can, but won't).
I get the impression he's not exactly what she wanted but she can't leave. As if he's abusive and she's alone?
(Gotta find some courage in this town).
As I said, I FEEL that's what it could be.
The lyrics caught my attention as to how accurate they were with my relationship.
Really want to read some other opinions.
