" all because she got a card on her thirteenth birthday" --> it probably means that she got a card from her mum when she was 13 that she was going to live with her uncle (Mum's brother)in London where her brother lives too to get better education/her mum could not take good care of her/ could not afford for her studies.

"mother had to get you out the motherland to study
that was all she struggled to have a single daughter with the upper hand
but little does she know you're never coming back
she put you in her brother's hand only for him to formulate another plan
he's the f*****g cause of your appalling state the summer,
fancy that you came to London to get pimped by your Uncle, damn."

Instead, her Uncle gets her addicted to heroin so he can make her become a prostitute in order to make money.
Well one night after having sex with yet another strange man, she realizes her jaw has been hurt. So instead of going to the clinic(which was either to check for STDs or have a pregnancy test or something like that) she decides to go to the Whittington(a hospital in London) to have her injury looked at.

" then you remember that your punter went crazy last night
you drag yourself to the mirror to check your face then you cry
forget the visit to the clinic you was booked in for
you'll make a trip to the Whittington were they'll look at your jaw"
She's hesitant to do this though because she knows her punter(her pimp) will be angry at her for doing so because then the cops will get involved.

" they'll be inquisitive and ask about your business for sure
they'll know your fibbing if you tell them you got hit by a door
    but young woman
the pimp see's you as nothing but a dumb hooker
    medical attention could be fatal
'cause the cunt wouldn't ever let a doctor near someone thats getting dough for him
'cause next you got poxy authorities sticking their noses "

She ends up going though because she can't hide what happened to her with make-up. She makes up a lie to tell just in case the doctor's decide not to pretend they don't know what happened. But of course, the nurse gets suspicious and doesn't believe the girl's story, so she called in the police. She started freaking out in the room even though the cops assured her he wouldn't let anyone hurt her again.

"Little lady, your mind you've made up
your injurys you can't hide with make-up
you need some medical advice, you make up
a little lie to say just
in case the doc opens his eyes and don't decide to play dumb
with any luck you'll see the same dude who stiched your top lip
last year when your pimp just lost it
he wouldn't recognise you if you stared him in the face anyway
'cos all the heroin is making you age
but you're a heroine for taking the strain of being a prostitute and punching bag
the funds you have left go where your from using moneygram"

"Little lady, your trembling with fear
you're skinny frame kinda ressembles a deer
you're sitting facing the detective, oh dear
the meddling nurse couldn't just leave it,
she's only gone and made it much worse calling police in,
she'll never know the gravity of the damage she's caused
you're causing scandal going mad in the ward now"

She stays silent, but likes that he's talking to her like she's more than a dity whore. He gives her a card with his phone # on it before he leaves, begs her to use because if she doesn't there's no way he can help her.

"the coppers trying to calm you, telling you he won't let no one harm you
the same question he keeps trying to ask you, who you working for?
he's talking to you like you're worth more than a dirty whore
you're having a conversation you could be murdered for
you're learning more about exactly why you need to help bring him or her to court
it's kicking knowledge you ain't ever heard before
just before he leaves, he reassures you that he knows that it's hard
he underlines a mobile number you can phone on his card
    begs you to use it
he's useless if you're gonna be stupid
'cos an answer hasn't come from your bruised lips, you're on your own"

She leaves to give her pimp all the money she owes him. But her pimp follows her home and because she's been gone so long, wants to know where she's been. Scared and nervous, she drops her bags on the floor. Even though there's a mess, all her pimp sees is the card the cop gave her. He gets angry at her for going to the cops so he murders her and dumps her body in the streets.

"you've gotta go and give your pimp what you owe
you reach your door and then it dawns that you've been followed home
before you turn around you feel a cold blade on your throat
and then a voice says 'where you been bitch? I wanna know.'
no prizes for guessing who it is, resistance would be foolishness
you open the front door, he boots you in
there's something new in him, he's silent now that fills you with terror
get your alibi straight, you could be killed for an error
he towers over you, the 6 inch knife catches the sunlight
at this point your life flashes before your eyes
your handbags dropped and all the contents are all over the floor
despite the mess there's only one thing that's caught his eye
and in the moment of rage, he brutally murders his niece
and dumps her body in the boot of his Merc in the street"

a very sad yet touching song <3

The “card on her thirteenth birthday” line doesn’t mean the card from her mum. It says that the only card she got on her birthday was the card from the policeman with the number on it

I think it explains the sad story of a 13 year old girl who is involved in sex trafficking. Her mother has the girl live with her uncle in London in order to get a better education. Her uncle, after raping her himself, desides he is going to sell her to people so they can have sex with her. One night after being beaten by her uncle, the girl goes to the hospital to have them checked out. She lies and tells them she was hit by a door, but the nurse doesn't believe her, and calls the police. The police question her, but she refuses to tell them anything. The cops are reassuring her that no one will hurt her, and the detective gives her his number so she can contact her when she needs help. She goes home and her uncle, with a knife, asks where she has been for so long. She is shoved inside and he threatens her with the knife. She drops her bag and all the stuff inside spills out. All the uncle sees is the number, so he murders her. He dumps her body on the street. This all happens on the girl's birthday. A really sad story.

A girl get's raped, and bashed up when prostitutes get angry. Her Mother couldn't afford to pay for both of them so she sent her daughter to live with her Mums brother. He had a plan though. He would pay prostitutes to rape his niece. When she did something wrong prostitutes would bash her. She went to the doctors to check her wounds, and they grew concerned and protective. They called the police who said they wouldn't let anyone hurt her. But she was followed home by her Uncle. He held a knife to her throat, asking where she's been. She drops her handbag scared, and the only thing the uncle see's is the police card. He murders her and dumps her in the boot of a Mercedes. This story is true and also extremely upsetting, thinking about this girl you realise she is like a toy.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

For me Little Lady is a story about a girl being abused. It is about a young girl who's mother gave her away to her brother (the girls uncle) who had then put her up for prostitution, in the song the lyrics talk about her having to go to the doctors because her uncle had beaten her up when she has refused something. The girl is very young (13) and is referred to as 'Little Lady'. The nurse that she went to called the police and the police told 'Little Lady' that everything will be fine. She told the police nothing as she knew she would get in trouble for it. The police man gave her his card in case she changed her mind. Mikill Pane (the rapper) describes 'Little Lady' as some one who is very thin as in the song it says "your skinny frame kinda resembles a deer" . As the girl is walking home she discovers she has been followed, "a voice says 'where you been b***h I wanna know" you can tell the girl is scared and her handbag drops and all the contence goes all over the floor, her uncle sees the card from the police officer and murders his niece with a knife. It the says he "dumped her body in the boot of his Merc in the street" this means he dumped her body. At the end of the rapping part it states that "Little Lady left this earth in the worst way, all because she got a card on her 13th birthday" this shows it was her birthday and she was still so young. The chorus of the song is Ed Sheeran singing the same chorus to his song 'The A Team'.

This is a very sad and powerful song sang by Ed Sheeran and Mikill Pane. Very clever, I don't know if it is a true story but it highlights what goes on in the world today.

(Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes).
