What Do I Know Lyrics

Ain't got a soapbox I can stand upon
But God gave me a stage, a guitar and a song

I'll paint the picture, let me set the scene
I know when I...

I think that this song is talking about how he has all of the great ideas but he is too scared to say them so he will say his idea, but then have the feeling of being rejected. He will play it off like its not a big deal so that people wont look dumb.

I think this is one of ed best songs. with my point of view I think this song is about how he is much different than other people. He talks about having a guitar and that being able to sing is his calling. While people are going through life and get caught up things such as politics, religion and money. Ed is taking life slow and care free. he talks about how people "trying to fit in their jeans" that they are trying to be something their not or taking life to seriously and not seeing the beauty of it. Which is what Ed wants to show people that life is more then just work money. that love and positive life style can make life better for everyone

That love is the most important thing you need in life, and just living a simple life without any drama and just love is what we need.
