The Kind Lyrics
You ignore the fate of the players who both end up dead
And you pretend for us and you pretend for them
This fairytale will make them jealous of you

#1 top rated interpretation:This is a song of pride, deceit, and flesh. This song tells the story of a guy who is known by his family and friends to be christian, but he is really only looking after himself and his gains. The kind is refers to two things. The first kind that he talks about is his cover up that his desires of flesh are a display of his care and compassion for another. The kind that rips the clothing off your mind is the one that uncovers the sin that sits on his skin from all the wrong he involves himself in with the one he says he "cares" for. The robbing of his mind is how he says he trusts in god, but personally does his own well by his own hand. The hand represents his grasp on himself and the one's he defiles by sins of the flesh. The feeding she provides him with is feeding his flesh. He uses his belief as a way to rob his mind of the sin he does, and thinks all is forgiven for.

I think this song is about a very religious man who claims to be innocent but is lustful. Deceiving all kinds of others including God with his words/actions. His sexual urges get super tempting, betraying God’s word. He has sexual intercourse and feels guilty.

I think this song means a man who rapped a girl that was passed out in his bed, and he's blaming his own fault on god to make himself feel better because he feels bad.

I thought this song was talking about being impure sexually?
