This song is about his recognition of what evil has done in his life and his turning away from that evil. Telling the devil he no longer can hear him,(his ears no longer hear the deceiving plans of evil), can no longer see him,(his eyes are not on the plans of evil but on the plans of righteousness) does not know him, (is no longer part of evil)."Proclaiming he is "awake" now because of God. Because of Jesus..."I'm alive, For You I'm awake, because of You I'm alive...swallowing You, (he is taking in the Word of God)" And to the Devil he says..." told you I'm awake". (As a warning to leave him alone because he is awake and sees the Devils schemes for what they are).
