Godsmack: I Stand Alone Meaning
I Stand Alone Lyrics
You can't control me
If you try to take me down you're gonna break
I feel you're every nothing that you're doing for me
I'm picking you outta me
You run away
I stand alone
Inside, I stand alone
You're...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think the more plausible answer for the meaning would be, that he stands alone in a corrupt world, where there is no faith for human beings, just control; no freedom, just hate. Basically he's saying that we live in a unthriving world, where people work to live, not live to enjoy; how could someone enjoy no freedom? He's just told what to do, and when to do it.

There are many key words and phrases in this song, and indications in other songs, that this group, the writer of the songs, has an interest in occultism and voodoo... The mention of resurrecting before the final fallen. This refers to the 2nd Angelic Fall -- the first being the Watchers (for lust of women) the second/final being that of the War in Heaven (rebellion). The mention of pins in me, that is a direct voodoo reference, namely voodoo dolls.
There is a sense that this is a psychic struggle between someone who employs the power of a goddess (witch/wiccan?), and a spirit being (fallen angel?) that she is trying to control and manipulate (by pins) and even devour his soul. -
I see this song as a drunkard or drug addict railing at a woman who is trying to "save" him from his addiction. The so-called goddess is the woman's facade of goodness, he can see her face meaning he sees that she has her own problems and should not be so judgemental. She puts her sting down inside him when she points out how idiotic and self destructive his addiction is. The resurrection before the final fallen was her own prior recovery from addiction. He keeps asserting that he stands alone, that the drugs make him stronger by chasing away all the people that love him. And yet, everything that he believes is fading, the drugs are destroying him. He wants help to decide to quit before the drugs kill him. But he keeps rejecting help and stubbornly insisting that he stands alone.

With all the illuminati images in their videos and phrases that are popularly linked to them. I have to say that the song is targeted towards them. Also if you goto youtube and look at the groups vevo channel the last video generation days, has so much imaging that points towards working with the illuminati meaning between this song till now sometime or another they won. Even sceptics on if they exist or not can not deny that Godsmack believes in the illuminati.

The lyrics are clear that the fallen angel who is the prince of this world. He is speaking towards Jesus saying you hide behind your so called goddess (the church) and that you laid your sting down inside me (limiting to the realm of the earth) that you resurrected before the final falling,(that Jesus resurrected before final show down at armoggeden) and he is very angry and he is not standing for it,that he stands alone (not even the dark angels will be on his side in the end.he will turn on even them.)he stands alone.
