Gorillaz: She's My Collar Meaning
Song Released: 2017
She's My Collar Lyrics
'Cause she's standing drama, she know I'll call her
She's getting on the sun and then she ordered
Imagine me, imagine me now (she's my collar)
I don't take her number, just don't think I'd...

#1 top rated interpretation:I believe this is a song about 2-D and his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, and ex-guitarist of the Gorillaz, Paula Cracker. He seems to still get pulled back from time to time, hence her being, his "collar". Especially if you take into consideration the forst lyrics of the female singing, "I was yellow, he was blue."...a double-meaning perhaps, seeing that 2D has blue hair, and Paula looks like she may be of asian-decent. Also, meaning that he was "blue" when he found out she was cheating on him, and she was "yellow" (yellow-bellied/scared) for cheating, and subsequently leaving the band....anyone else make these connections?

I personally think She's My Collar is about how 2-D used to sleep around back in the day due to Murdoc having sex with his girlfriends. Since 2-D felt lonely and that he couldn't trust to be in another relationship, he started to do that. So to fill his loneliness, he started to call prostitutes to ease it.

I think the interpretation with the 2D really makes sense. Also, even if he doesnt care about his ex girlfriend anymore,
If you think about him saying that he wrote the lyrics randomly at night in his bed--I think we all know situations where we start thinking about somebody we left/who left us. So it's logical that he might wrote about that to progress everything. -
It's about a random girl and a guy. It's not 2-d singing about his ex. he doesn't care about his ex anymore
