Incubus: Stellar Meaning
Stellar Lyrics
You are stellar
Meet me in outer space
We could spend the night;
watch the earth come up
I've grown tired of that place;
won't you come with me?
We could start again.
How do you do it?
Make me feel like I do
How do you do it?
It's...

#1 top rated interpretation:I actually read an article about this song once. Brandon met a girl in germany once while on tour. He claimed the connection with her was so far out and amazing that he could only think it was "stellar". So if you listen to the words...obviously its a love song...no doubt...but the inspiration came from the fact that he found a girl that had it been another lifetime they would have been perfect. But, that's not how his life let things be. So the only way he can reach her is if she meets him halfway....kind of like if you say to a girl..."look at that star....no matter where I am...we can always see that star..." cliche bullshit...regardless...the song was his way of letting her know that she impacted him in a way that no other girls have. The great thing about his writing though is, we, as observers, can relate and make the song relevant to a girl in our own lives. Sort of how "I Miss You" works....you know there is a girl that comes to mind when that song comes on...

This song is awesome, i think this song means he want the girl to live with him were they feel like they were both living in place were just only the two of them.

Stellar refers to the composition of stars when you search it in a dictionary but actually this song is about making love...
It is a boy who wants to make love on a girl but the girl is on a far destination and Brandon used the "Space" theme for the song because the space is very far and only few people can go there.
the first verse of the song tells that the boy is being tired of everything. It seems that the boy is being too lustful and he wants the girl to spend the night with him and start all over again.
the 2nd verse is the proof that the song is about making love..
in the line which he said "I will hold you close if you're afraid of heights" means that the girl is afraid of giving herself to him but the boy promise to be gentle to her...
"I need you to see this place, it might be the only way that I can show you how if feels to be inside of you" explains everything... the boy wants to make love in that place (I don't know if it is a room or somewhere which turns him on hahaha) and let him show how it feels to be inside her vagina hahaha...
other Interpretations and articles says that it was a tribute for Brandon's ex girlfriend...
well hope you like it :) -
i agree with everyone else here about this song, i believe that it is a wonderful and very expressive love song. it reminds me of my girlfeind courtney and i. i have nver ever felt this way about anybody in this whole world. i feel like she is so amzing and when im with her i feel like im floationg around in outer space its such an undescribable feeling. thats where i think brandon boyd got the emotion to write this song was from an undescribabel love he was experianceing and i can very much relate to this feeling because i am feeling it right now :)
