John Mayer: Heart of Life Meaning
Heart of Life Lyrics
Lying there in that position
There's things you need to hear
so turn off your tears
And listen.
Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No it won't all go the way it should
But I know...

I believe this song can mean multiple things…
For me, “The Heart of Life is Good”, means that no matter how many struggles in life you go (and grow) through, life is still good. Life is a gift. It also reminds me of when you’re having the time of your life and you forget all of your worries and all of the bad leaves you for a while, you’re happy and content. I have that quote as a tattoo and it reminds me every day to continue and be grateful for my life, because it’s good. -
Things come and go. In a relationship there will be tears and struggles, it may end up ending. Sooner or later things WILL pick up. Don't stop loving, don't stop living. Embrace your fears and experience life because the Heart of Life is good.

My ex-husband, who I will always love, would tell me to listen to this song because he wanted it played at his memorial service - I did...and we did. I think it means that no matter how bad it is, no matter how bad it hurts, no matter how hard it is to hear that someone is saying good-bye, no matter if the pain is so freakin' unbearable you don't think you can lift your head from the pillow and you want to die yourself...that in the end, even with all the curve balls life throws at you, life is good. It's beautiful and comforting.

I think it means that life is something to be enjoyed and lived with happiness, and although crap is sometimes thrown at you, it helps you grow and learn, and that's how I know, "The heart of life is good"
