Killswitch Engage: My Curse Meaning
Song Released: 2006
My Curse Lyrics
Hopeless, with nothing to say
I strain my eyes
Hoping to see you again
This is my curse (The longing)
This is my curse (Time)
This is my curse (The yearning)
This is my curse
There is love burning to find...
-
this describse almost every man,
in the vedio it shows that the man was inside a dark room with limited light and books in a shelf and also scattered everywhere and he is searching for a book which would open the door to reach the lady who is shown in that grassland wearing a white dress,
the song means,
a man loves a lady but that lady stay very far away from him, the title my curse, refers that the man is in that room is stuck mentaly and wants to get out from this prison and wants to reach her so he is finding a way to her through a book which is shown in the video "K.S.E",and somehow he found the book and got the way to reach her and mets her
but in the end the video shows that the man is dead that room with that book in hand.
may be the song is trying to tell us that a man who loves someone but that someone does not loves back in reality except for dream so there is a obstackle bet. him nd her and fact is that he is not perfect for her may be thats why he is referring it as my curse that he is not perfect but still he wants her and trying find a way through which he can get to her before he dies.
thats my view -
In the video, a girl is seen in a meadow field. A man is in a room scattered with books.
I believe he is longing to see her but had no chance to (your silence haunts me). No matter what he will yearn to be with her but will she wait for her. That is seen on the video, where he actually rearranges the book in a shelf to match the drawn plan.
He eventually meets her.
Such a touching song, the vid too. One of my fav. of all time. Makes me cry seriously.
KSE is the best!
