Killswitch Engage: My Last Serenade Meaning
Song Released: 2002
My Last Serenade Lyrics
Tangled in a state of suffocation
Slave to self righteousness
Damnation is on your lips
From sorrow to serenity, the truth is absolution,
From sorrow to serenity, its on your head
This is my last...

This song is about bridges being burned between past relationships. In the music they use a woman to implicate a scenario of what Jesse was going through at the time. He was basically saying that this was his last time giving hope to something in the relationship but the only way for her to confront her problems was to burn the bridge and she would have no choice to confront them on her own. If you look up the lyrics and pay attention you can pretty much figure this one out.

This song means according to me, a guy who fell in love, but the girl he fell in love was breaking apart from him so the guy is singing his last serenade for that girl before he looses her forever and he explains many facts of life in this song
may be this song wants to show that both the girl and the boy is apart from each other and feeling alone.
