Korn: Daddy Meaning

Album cover for Daddy album cover

Daddy Lyrics

Mother please forgive me
I just had to get out all my pain and suffering
Now that I am done, remember I will always love you
I'm your son

Little child, looking so pretty
Come out and play, I'll be your daddy
Innocent child, looking so...

This song is about how poor Jon was raped by his fucked up dad when he was a kid and this terrible event screwed him up for life so he wrote a song expressing his feelings.

alright now in the song daddy a lot of people think jon is talking about his dad raping him as a child but its not it's about how his creepy neighbor raped him (sick) and about how his parents never belived him and were jerks about it when it destroyed jonathans life. This song relates to the song mr.rodgers on their 2nd album than song is about the creepy neighbor who raped him (hello naighbor) and to clear this up some of you might think I'm wrong because he sais "and FUCKED your oen child" well jon never published his lyrics so it says nowhere that he says it that way he's actually sayng "FUCK, your own child" as in why would you not belive him. Thankyou and sorry my name says 5 the friggn sighn up thing wouldnt let me use anything else .....-Ed Noble KoRn!!

You are all wrong the actual truth behind that song is not being ass-raped by his dad but how when he was picked on as a kid, no one believed him, and it felt like rape to him. I've seen it in an actual interview form John Davis.

    In his own words

"most people thinks this is about my dad fucking me up the ass, its not it was about a neighbor raping me and my parents didn't believe me"

I think this is about someone Jon knew, not him, but someone close to him, getting raped. Someone once told me that it was his next door neighbour that was raped by his father the mother was in such fear of the father she hide behind the door and just watched to scared to move.

The above interpretation is halfway right, but contrary to popular belief, this song is not about Jon being raped by his father. He has stated on several occasions that he has a very good relationship with his father. Actually this song is about how Jon was sexually abused by a neighbor as a child, and how his parents would not believe him when he told them about it. Very emotional song, I can totally relate to it because of some things that happened to certain members of my family.

It's about how Jon got fucked by his own FATHER and how his mother didn't even care. I cried when he started crying at the very end of the song. He like has 15 minutes of screaming and crying. "I fucking hate you! Fuck you!! Dad, you fucking ruined my life. Son of a bitch...." and then this girl starts singing a luliby... awww. I felt so bad for Jon when I first heard this song. Their first CD kicks fucking ASS!!
