Bloody Mary Lyrics

Love is just history that they may prove
And when you're gone I'll tell them my religion's you

When you come to kill gaga upon my lips
I'm ready for their stones.

I'll dance, dance, dance
With my hands, hands, hands,
Above my head,...

This song is about how even when someone is mean and cruel to you, you should still appreciate them and accept their judgements of you because you never know when they will be gone.....

This song is about Mary Magdalene. "Love is just history that they may prove
And when you're gone I'll tell them my religion's you" She's telling Jesus after he dies she won't be afraid to admit her faith in him.

"When Pontius comes to kill the king [Jesus] upon his throne
I'm ready for their stones." When Jesus dies she is ready for the punishment she will endure if she continues to live the way Jesus teaches.

    "I'll dance, dance, dance
    With my hands, hands, hands,
    Above my head, head, head,
    Like Jesus said.
    I'm gonna dance, dance, dance,
    With my hands, hands, hands,
    Above my head,
    Hands together, Forgive him before
    He's dead because:

    I won't cry for you
I won't crucify the things you do
I won't cry for you, see
When you're gone I'll still be bloody Mary" Mary will not mourn his death, knowing he must do this to open the gates of heaven, however she won't forget his teachings, even when he's gone his teachings live on.

"We are not just art for Michelangelo to carve,
He can't rewrite the agro of my furied heart." The Catholic religion isn't just something to be awed at, no art can show the true raw emotions people feel when Jesus dies.
"I'll wait on mountain tops in Paris cold
Je ne veux pas mourir toute seule [I do not want to die alone]:" She will have faith in Jesus in order to be granted eternal life in heaven, with Jesus by her side on her death bed.

    I'll dance, dance, dance
    With my hands, hands, hands,
    Above my head, head, head,
    Like Jesus said.

    I'm gonna dance, dance, dance,
    With my hands, hands, hands,
    Above my head
    Hands together, Forgive him before
    He's dead because:

    I won't cry for you
I won't crucify the things you do
I won't cry for you, see
When you're gone I'll still be bloody Mary

Gaga, Gaga, Gaaaa,ga, Gaga, Gaga, Gaga, Gaga, Gaga,
    Dum dum da da
Dum dum da da da da da da
    Dum dum da da
    Dum dum da da
dum dum da da da da da

    I won't cry for you
I won't crucify the things you do do do
I won't cry for you (Gaga), see
When you're gone (Gaga) I'll still be bloody Mary (Gaga)

Whoah Whoah Whoah, Whoah Whoah Whoah, Whoah Whoah Whoah,
Whoah Whoah Whoah, Whoah Whoah Whoah.

    Oh, Liberaté, mi amor.

Bloody Mary can mean anything. The purpose of art is to let the audience come up with their own meanings. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Art isn't supposed to have a direct message. It's how you look at it.

"When Punk-tius comes to kill the king upon his throne"
"when pontius comes to reduce Fatih Sultan Mehmed's reign." if you know history about pontius and fatih sultan mehmed then you can fix the meaning.

The song is simply about the crucifiction of Jesus Christ.

Lady Gaga, in this song, plays Mary Magdeline... A prostitute in Biblical times who was saved by Jesus and loved Jesus and followed him everywhere...

Gaga knows that Mary Magdeline wasn't known as 'Bloody Mary', but she's using it as a simile to 'Sinful Mary'... Bloody=Sinful...

"I'm ready for their stones!"- this line of the song talks about how when those whom don't follow Jesus chose to pick on her and beat her with stones like they did with Jesus, she will take it and will know she's doing it for the man who loves her, Jesus Christ.

"I'll dance with my hands above my jead like Jesus said"- this line means she will praise Jesus with her hand above her head which is what Jesus wants his followers to do, praise him...

This entire song is a Biblical lesson in itself but features and amazing slow-dance beat for those whom aren't Christian! :)

SHE IS CATHOLIC- BOTTOM LINE! :)

Based on Lady Gaga's comments about crucifixion and sins, initially it seems she is speaking of Jesus and "Bloody Mary" aka Mary Magdelene. She also mentions Pontius aka Pontius Pilate, who according to the bible sentencing Jesus to death but could have saved him. However, there are several meanings to the term "Bloody Mary" including a very delicious drink! Well written lyrics are often meant to leave listeners wondering as well as relating their personal experiences/feelings to them...

Okay. Bloody Mary is a nickname for Queen Mary of France, who was famous for beheading numerous amounts of people. That is why she is speaking French in alot of parts of this song. I do not think this has anything to do with Mary Magdalene for they lived in Israel. Also, she speaks of Michaelangelo, who was in the renaissance period, along with Queen Mary. An explanation to why she talks about Jesus is because you have to keep in mind that people back in Queen Mary's time, ESPECIALLY KINGS AND QUEENS, were very very religious. This is also why she sings I will not crucify you.

I LOVE the song! I'm a huge fan of "darker" music anyway, and i totally love it.

    @ The anonymous Illuminati person:
this whole crap about Illuminati drives me nuts! some people see satan in everything! even a flower next to a road is evil to them.
    You said:

    "I'm ready for their stones"
She's saying that when the war between God and Satan takes place, she'll be ready for the resistance. She's basically telling the Angels and God's followers "bring it on".

What a huge pile of horse poo!
The song is about Mary Magdeline.
gaga's video of Judas was based on the da vinci code, where Mary Magdeline get's stoned. (you know.. throwing rocks at her until she's dead) so just stop your satan crap.

Then... (yes i keep ranting because some people are just dumb)
The person who said about the Ghost in the mirror:
    GO BACK TO HISTORY CLASS!
    -Bloody Mary #1: Mary Magdeline
-Bloody Mary #2: Queen Mary of England (in the 1500's)
-Bloody Mary #3: The fake urban ledgent.

    There... now i'm done

It's about the Illuminati and their plans to take over the world and ultimately, destroy God, his followers and any hope left. Making way for Satan. She is basically telling God/Jesus her plans for world domination, that she is certain Evil will win and They won't be able to stop it.

"Love is just a history that they may prove"

She's saying that love will be a thing of the past, something in the history books that they can prove but it won't exist in the New World.

"And when you're gone I'll tell them my religion's you"
When Jesus is gone, she'll lie to the world, pretend that she is following His orders but really she is following the devil's or the anti-christ. She will deceive initially.

"When Punk-tius comes to kill the king upon his throne"
When the devil comes to kill God.

    "I'm ready for their stones"
She's saying that when the war between God and Satan takes place, she'll be ready for the resistance. She's basically telling the Angels and God's followers "bring it on".

    "I'll dance, dance, dance
    With my hands, hands, hands
    Above my head, head, head
    Like Jesus said"

She mocks Jesus. She will celebrate “just like he said”...but not for Him or His teachings, but for the Satan's triumph over God.

    "Forgive him before he's dead"

They are going to be so successful in their reign, and ultimately triumph over God that Jesus, rather, will beg for forgiveness.

    "I won't cry for you
I won't crucify the things you do
I won't cry for you, see
When you're gone I'll still be Bloody Mary"

When God/Jesus is gone, she won't mourn Him, or feel sorry for Him, as she doesn't marvel over Him like His followers. Like Bloody Mary, queen of England, she will still be evil, and slaughter millions who don't concur. She will still worship the devil.

"We are not just art for Michelangelo to carve
He can't rewrite the agro of my furied heart"

She mocks famous historical artists for their depiction of heaven and hell. They cannot possibly measure the evil that's in their hearts with mere pictures.

"I wait on mountain tops in Paris cold
Je ne veux pas mourire tout seule"

She waits bitterly for the world to turn to the Devil and give into evil. She won't go down into the flames alone...she's taking the world with her.

    "GaGa, GaGa, GaGa, GaGa
    GaGa, GaGa, GaGa, GaGa"

The chants of Gaga's and the Devils followers. The world will fall on it’s knees, forced to obey their evil master.

    "Dum dum da di da
    Dum dum da di da
    Dittie da di da
    Dum dum da di da"

This is the foreshadowing of "dance, dance dance with my hands hands hands..." during the bridge. It even plays over the same chords as the bridge. The "dum dum da di da" is the rhythm of the dancing/laughing during the celebration. She's mocking Jesus again. It's like saying "na na na na".

    "Oh, liberdade
    Mi amor "

She's saying she loves her freedom. She feels "free" from God and is so glad.

    Awaits blacklash...

Gaga's songs are like a poem, you can't see the real meaning by just hear the song or read the lyrics once, you need to analise her songs very good.

This song is a continuation of Judas, where Lady Gaga is Magdalene again. Mary Magdalene and Gaga are both bad and dirty and that why she is magdalene and not mother Mary.
They both find it hard to let go someone that they realy love.

People should not be so "judgmental..." Remember, there are writers in every song, so why question the singer/artist? Well, it depends on the singer/artist if he/she will take/accept the (challenge)/song. I am not a song analyst/an expert but i only have 1 explanation at the beginning of the song "Bloody Mary." "Love is just the history that they may prove, And when you're gone I'll tell them my religion's you." For me, Gaga is a religious person, and she really loves Jesus. She is Mary Magdalene in the song i guess (Maybe because Gaga can relate on Magdalene, a woman who's being judged). People are so judgmental... Although Gaga loves Jesus, it seems that her love or "faith" should pass first on people's "tongue and hands." People want to show that they should be the ones who will prove and judge one's love for someone. Gaga is now shy on what these bad people had done (because what other people know is, "she is not a religious person"), but when these people are gone/(asleep), Gaga says to Jesus that he is still her Religion... "And when you're gone.." the "you're" there are the bad people. "I'll tell them my religion's you." the "you" there is of course, JESUS. Let us all combine... "Love/religion is being judged and proved by people, but when these judgmental people are gone, Gaga prays/says/explains to Jesus that she really loves HIM. BTW, these are just may opinions...
