Maroon 5: Daylight Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Daylight Lyrics
Why am i, holding on?
We knew this would come, we knew it all along
How did it, come so fast?
This is our last night but it's late
And i'm trying not to sleep
Cause I know, when I wake, I will have...

I think he’s in a relationship and the girl is letting him go. She’s leaving. Probably moving out of state. It’s late and he doesn’t want to sleep. He doesn’t want it to end. When the morning comes they’ll part their own ways. He holds her close as the stars begin to burn out. He wishes the night would slow down. When the sun does rise, he shoots her one last glance. He doesn’t want their love to stop. He doesn’t want to have to start over with someone else.

This is a beautiful song, yet very sad. This song reminds me of my long distance relationship and the last night we spent together before he left for college. We have a strong relationship and we have been apart for 3 months. We've been dating about a year now. If i were to give anyone advice on a long distance relationship i'd tell them it takes good communication, trust and a postitve outlook on things. When i finally got the see him again it was the best feeling in the world. Long distance is possible <3

Well, the first time I heard this song was on the car ride to my grandfather's funeral at 11 years old. So I always think about how some people have premonitions about dying and how you know in your heart that it is the last time you will ever see them, and wanting to smile and enjoy it, at the same time, wanting to cry because it's sad.

For me its about a man who has been in a love affair that is ending. Its been a beautiful experience. He thinks that she is the perfect woman for him. They have this last night together. He loves her deeply and doesn't want to leave her, but he knows in the morning they will part ways for the last time. It could be me singing this song. It is EXACTLY what happened and how I felt. Funny it came out less than a month after it ended.

When I came back from Mexico this is how i felt I was leaving behind lots of friends and my lover behind and the very last night was very speacial they through me a party, and in the morning it was all memories :(

I think this song is about a strong relationship that has to be left broken because they've been torn apart. I think he has to leave in the morning.
"When the daylight comes I'll have to go, but tonight I'm gonna hold you so close."
I think this means, once again, he has to leave in the morning but that night he's going to love her as much as he can and hold her as close as he can. -
I think it about giving up a baby for adoption. A young couple not ready to raise a child, is selflessly handing over their baby for a better life than what they can give.

Romeo and Juliet.

This song is perfect for those who are in a long distance relationship like me.
-
So maybe he's in love with this girl, and they are together for a long time. They spend one last night together, and then he leaves. Maybe he's moving or on a business trip. I don't know. Just a thought.
-
I think it's about a soldier being deployed.
-
i think this song is about Anne Vyalitsyna, Adam's ex girlfriend :')
