Lunchbox Friends Lyrics

Oh-oh no, oh-oh no
Oh-oh no, oh-oh no
You said, "Hey, girl, will you sit with me?
Table in the back of Cafeteria C?
We can be friends if you want to be
But only 'til the clock hits three
After lunch, we can walk to class
Talk about the...

I think it's about toxic or fake friends. Crybaby/Melanie makes some friends who she thinks are real at first. When they start ignoring her she realizes that she's made a mistake. It also may talk about a naive person making friends who turn out to be fake or toxic.I think fake because of the line
"After that I’ll ignore your ass” explaining the fact that they don't care, and might be using her.I also think maybe toxic because they may be trying to change her to be like them,to make friends and ditch them for the fun of it

I think this song is about how she just wants real friends and not people who will only talk to her for gossip, and then dump her.

Crybaby doesn't want fake friends that will only hang out with her at lunch time, but a friendship that will last forever, not just until the clock hits 3. She doesn't want to be a part of the group that gossips about people that they have no idea about, and just wants some real friends.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Melanie wanted to go to real friends and not just fake friends because her "friends" were usually gossiping about her. -MY OPINNION.

I think Lunchbox Friends is about fake friends who will use you and only be friends with you for a certain amount of time. ‘We can be friends if you wanna be, but only till the clock hits three.’ The fake friends will abandon you once their done using you for things like gossip and drama and pretend like nothing happened. In K-12, Kelly and her friends are fake and trying to use Crybaby.

Melanie wants real friends, not just friends inside of school who hang out to not look lonely. Friends who don't just sit with you at lunch ones who rather actually care about you.

This songs about how she wants friends who are down to earth and real! Ones who will be their for her even when school is over. Not fake friends who you hang with when your real friends are off sick

I believe that when kelly said " After that ill ignore your azz" is saying she's not her real friend and don't push it because she can dump her anytime.

From reading the lyrics to the song we get a hint about what she means by “we can be friends if u wanna be, but only til the clock hits three”. It tells I us that Kelly and her friends are trying to be friends with Melanie so that they can just dump her later. This comes to show that Melanie is letting people know that there are fake people out there and will try to become friends with you, so I think she means to be careful of who your friends with. That was just my opinion let me know what’s yours <3

it`s about fake Friends, crybaby doesn`t want to have Friends who only hat lunch with her or talk about boys and ways to get cash, she wants some real Friends to "die" together, maybe also about wrong people in life who only uses you(crybaby/melanie in that case).so that songs meaning are fake friendship and wrong people.

Crybaby is just getting lunch and a popular girl comes and asks her to sit at their table. Crybaby accept seeming as she doesn't have many friends, they have lunch and they walk to class. After school crybaby goes to her "friends" and they ingnore her. she realizes she cant trust everyone and says "i don't want no lunchbox friends" and finds real friens.

Could relate to how Melanie recalled finding it hard to make friends as a teenager in school and how people are fake and pretend to be someone they aren’t (e.g Timothy Heller)

It’s totally about fake friends because the line we can be friends if you want to be but only til the clock hits three, it describes as if she wants to have real friends forever and not for just a little bit of time, and actually this song totally describes me with my friends
