Melanie Martinez: Milk and Cookies Meaning
Milk and Cookies Lyrics
3, 4, baby, won't you lock the door?
5, 6, I'm done with it
7, 8, it's getting late, so close your eyes, sleep the days
Hush, little baby, drink your spoiled milk
I'm fucking crazy, need my prescription...
-
I think that the wolf is a symbol for a predator that kidnaps children. In Tag your it/Milk n cookies double feature she wakes up in a toy box. The wolf might be using the toys to calm the kids down so that they won't be mad. Milk and cookies may be a sign of ( you know what). The melatonin is to escape her kidnapper.
-
I agree with all of this stuff I thought of this as he was wanting her to do sexual stuff to him and her trying to get away.
-
How about the a interpretation from the lyrics, not the video.
She thought of metaphors making the song and a situation.
Not a damn music video. -
i think tag, your it is about melanie (crybaby) trying to get away from an abusive relationship but her boyfriend catches her and the candy/icecream is him threatening her so in milk and cookies she kills her boyfriend to escape him
-
I think the song true meaning is Melanie poisoning her kidnapper by firstly seducing him to bed and killing him when he falls asleep.
-
When she first wakes up from the wolf guy drugging her, she wakes up in a toy box, and mabey thats a symbol of her being just a toy to the wolf to 'play with'
-
This song is a continuation of Tag, You're It where Crybaby's kidnapper (the Big Bad Wolf) forces her to make cookies for him and she does what she's told but she uses the poison she was given by the cashier in Tag, You're It and poisons him to escape. SHE WAS SUCCESSFUL!!!! (:
-
I think Milk and Cookies refers to Melanie being in an abusive relationship, maybe referring to "milk and cookies"as some sort of sexual interaction that she was forced into, the wolf maybe being her captor or boyfriend. If you see the music video and listen to Tag, You're It and Milk and Cookies, I think people would understand what she was trying to explain better.
-
When I first heard this song I was terrified, thinking that she was poisoning a baby that she didn't want, but then I realized after watching the Tag, Your It/Milk & Cookies double feature, I realized she was poisoning her captor and breaking free.
Thank God for small miracles! -
I think it was about cry baby being in an abusive relationship and the wolf forced her to make dessert for him ,which I think is a metaphor for sex but she poisoned him and escaped the relationship.
-
My interpretation is...
Melanie is ordered to make a drink and snacks for her kidnapper. So she poisons her kidnappers cookies and milk with melatonin..
Finally! A happy ending! -
There is a happy ending for Cry Baby (for once) when she escapes and kills the wolf with kindness…well kind of. She actually kills him by poisoning the milk and cookies she made him. Cry Baby really takes after her mother when it comes to ending sucky relationships! The way the wolf forced her to give him “dessert,” it was probably an abusive relationship. And yeah, it probably wasn’t really dessert that he was forcing from Cry Baby either.
-
She poisoned the kidnapper with melatonin after he ordered her to make him snacks. So she poisoned the cookies with melatonin to kill him and eventually escape.
