My Chemical Romance: You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison Meaning
You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison Lyrics
In the center of a restaurant
They say come with your arms raised high
Well they're never gonna get me
I'm like a bullet through a flock of doves
To wage
This war against your faith in me
Your life will never...

Okay, this song is just about prison rape and being someone's bitch.
and also:
1. Ray is the only single one.
2. Gerard isn't telling the name of his girl friends name so he calls her Katmandu.
3. Frankie is in a VERY serious relationship.
4. Gerard has NO children. -
I think mcr rox is pretty close but I think the line about 'I'm gonna string this muthafucker on fire' is about the guy killing himself and going to hell because that's what the album is about. The guy goes to hell because he thinks his girl died in the gunfight, but she isn't dead and the devil lets him come back to life if he brings him the souls of 1000 evil men.

Even if they are gay, its not like it should matter. They make music. If you like their music, way to go! if not, well there's your opinion. They make music, its not lke they want to confuse you and make people go around on sites discussing whats in it, it's music. Dance to it. Listen to it. No one cares, they do it for fun. Enjoy it.

Everyone makes a big deal when they think someone is gay. I think its a general rule world wide to not be gay.

Gerard is not gay (I know every one has said this but here is PROOF)
A fan asked him if he was bi. Frankie and Mikey both snapped up and looked at her like o_o, but Gerard said it was okay and smiled, then said he was NOT bi and is straight and has a girlfriend (my note: her name is Olivia).
Anyway, it's about prison. -
To me this is about someone or in Gerard's point of view...
Gerard was in a gun fight and the cops came and he put up a fight
"Well, they're never gonna get me, And like a bullet through a flock of doves..."
Then they caught him and he was sent to prison. I don't know about this, but maybe he killed someone while he was in prison or in the gunfight and their last dying wish was to be kissed again and he was having a fight with himself whether to do that or not but in the end he does
"How we're just two men as God had made us,
Well, I can't...well, I can!
Too much, too late, or just not enough of this
Pain in my heart for your dying wish,
I'll kiss your lips again."
Next he is on death row and he is saying what is happening to him and he is also worrying how he will go and I guess he is thinking about his loved ones like his mom...
"They all cheat at cards and the checkers are lost,
My cellmate's a killer, they made me do push-ups (in drag)
But nobody cares if you're losing yourself...am I losing myself?!
Well, I miss my mom,
Will they give me the chair,
Or lethal injection, or swing from a rope if you dare;
Ah, nobody knows...all the trouble I've seen!"
I guess he escapes prison and I guess he held a gaurd at knife point and then he goes to a hideout or a hotel room so he can kill him,
"To your room...
What they ask of you
Will make you want to say, "So long..."
Well, I don't remember,
Why remember...YOU?!
Do you have the keys to the hotel?!
'Cause I'm gonna string this motherfucker on fire! (FIRE!!)"
Then I guess they find out where he is and he is saying he won't go down on his own he wants his friends to be there or something like that..
"Life is but a dream for the dead,
And well I, I won't go down by myself,
But I'll go down with my friends.
Now now now now... (I can't explain)
Now now now... (I can't complain)
Now now now, yeah!"
I'm not sure if that is right but this song ROCKS, man I can't wait till thier concert. I think I got it wrong tho... but I don't really think it has gay reference.... but I dunno I'm dumb.... -

OK, first off, Gerard said he gets inspiration by reading the newspaper or watching movies. I think this song has its part of fiction. I doubt he got raped in jail, honestly, and I doubt he stayed in jail for so long to actually find it THAT awful and "oh but no one knows what I went through I miss my mom" type of thing.
And stop the gay discussion already, it's retarded. -
I just want to say a few things.
Gerard did kiss Bert as a dare.
And this song does have homosexual issues in it.
"How we're two men just as God had made us."
"I'll kiss your lips again." -
Before I start I just want to say, I don't think any of the members are gay. Yeah, I think they kiss for a joke. Big deal even if one or more of them were gay it wouldn't matter, because it's about rape. It's rape, it's a big deal. You sleep with who you want to, you shouldn't be bullied and abused into it.
Anyway, I think when it starts off, it's almost like he'd fight and rather die then go to prison 'They say, "Come with your arms raised high!"
Well, they're never gonna get me,' and I think it's saying once you've been in prison, 'Your life...will never be the same' I don't know, though, that's a guess that could be about something else.
Also, I think it's a very sad song about being bullied, humiliated and also being worried about if you're gonna be killed 'Will they give me the chair,
Or lethal injection' and wondering how your family is. You're in prison and most people deserve to be in there if they have commited a crime, but not to have horrible things happen to them. -
Gerard isn't gay!
