Little By Little Lyrics

We the people fight for our existence
We don't claim to be perfect but we're free
We dream our dreams alone with no resistance
Fading like the stars we wish to be

You know I didn't mean what I just said
But my God woke up
On the wrong...

I agree with the first comment. I think it's a response to extremism. I think it was released not long after a bombing if memory serves me well.

It's actually about muslim extremists.. We the people fight for our existence
We don't claim to be perfect but we're free
We dream our dreams alone with no resistance
Fading like the stars we wish to be.. read the lyrics.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

As I see it, the song tells his own story of life. He has reached fame, and has had everything he had always dreamed of. But suddendly he finds himself alone or having chosen the wrong way. From there is where he says that he should somehow change. Maybe in order to reach fame or be who dreamed of being, he left people behind.

I believe it's about parents disparing about their child who is going off the rails in their life. The parents are trying to help the child but someimes lose their temper with them as they can't believe that after all the nurturing they've given the child they've done this to them.

I think the song is written for someone he love very much but who is died by a slow and long pain ( drugs or something like that )

like we gave you everything you ever dreamed of: we tried everything to save you and let you kick-off
