    The crystal eyes are the way we see the world, clouded by emotion, caught up in life (the crystal eyes.) The song is saying that we should stop getting caught up inside our own heads and see the magnificent world for what it really is. The singer feels trapped, they feel that they are withering and stuck in see through skin.
