A.M. Lyrics

Won't you stay 'til the A.M.?
All my favorite conversations
Always made in the A.M (yeah yeah)

Feels like this could be forever tonight
Break these clocks, forget about time
There could be a World War 3 goin' on outside
You and me were...

I think this song is about their time together and about zayn leaving.
First, the song name, A.M. We know the Zayn called harry about leaving the band in the early morning(A.M.)so when it says

    All my favorite conversations/
Always made in the A.M (yeah yeah)/

I think it's saying that they don't blame him for leaving and they knew it was best for him.

You and me were raised in the same part of town
Got these scars on the same ground/
Remember how we used to kick around just /wasting time?

This lyric was about how they were careless and had a carefree life as kids where they didn't need to care about anything, and when they grew and had to start worrying and couldn't live their life as much.

Won't you stay 'til the A.M.?
You know I'm always coming back to this place

This was them saying to the fans that we should stay a little longer because they will always come back to us.

And as always A.M. = After Malik

before Zayn left in 2015 it was 2 am he was on a phone call with Harry so I think it was about the phone call "won't you stay to the A.M. , all my favorite conversations always made in the A.M." it kinda makes sense.

I think this song is about a group of friends that is used to just goofing off and acting like teenagers just saying random idiotic stuff that they think is appropriate or correct when it really is not. I think it is stating how the 4 (or 5 if you count Zayn) boys were just trying to act like normal teenage boys when they first started and continued as they grew. It talks about how they're confident with what they're saying and doing and ignorant, too.

I think A.M is about how hard it can be to have a good friendship and know it's coming to a end I think that there is meaning behind the lyrics "we were raised in the same part of town got these scars on the same grounds remember how we used to kick around just wasting time" I think 'we were raised in the same part of town' means they grew up together and have a lot of memories and 'got these scares on the same grounds' means they all went through a lot as a band they all have been there when one of them needed someone and 'remember how we used to kick around just wasting time' means their time in 1d as teenagers just having fun I think they wrote this about everything from the past 5 years because they had to say goodbye after all they did

I think that A.M. is a song about friendship, that is fading away.
It's about realising, that nothing lasts forever, and that even the best frienships and relationships are ending someday.

You didn't realise it before: you just wasted time hanging around doing nothing special. You thought that it's not that important.

But when it's over, you realise that you wasted so many moments. You just realised it a little bit too late.

"Won't you stay till the A.M? All my favorite conversations always made in the A.M." - you miss your friendship. You wanna go back to the old times now.

"You know I'm always coming back to this place..." - you're always gonna remember and 'come back' to those moments.

Hello this is @zaynxinterlude from Instagram, you might know me. Well I think this song is completely about Zayn. All of the boys have been credited for the songwriting. 'wont you stay till the am. All my favourite conversations Always made in the am' remember Zayn saying in an interview that he'd talk to harry all night after they (or he) got drunk, he'd talk about all his problems or personal stuff he'd trust nobody else with. The 'he's my rock' interview, yeah. And the part 'you and me were raised in the same part of town' is most probably a zouis part, Zayn and Louis are from Yorkshire, Bradford and Doncaster are really close. I'll most probably do a full lyric analysis on it on my Instagram.

I personally think A.M in this situation stands for After Malik, meaning Zayn Malik. When it says "won't you stay till the AM" in the chorus I think it kind of meant that wouldn't zayn stay kind of? idrk.

I think this song is basically just saying to cherish the little moments with your friends and family because those are the moments that you're going to remember most. It's the late night talks, getting drunk together, having a laugh, and talking shit that will stand out when you think about someone. It's a simple meaning, but an impactful one.

Chatting until the AM . A very simple meaning. Staying up all night laughing talking kissing . So romantic

The insistence on democracy means 1D still understand the dynamics of a quartet. Tomlinson is the best belter, the well-named Styles the sassfest, while Liam Payne sounds like the Fall Out Boy fan. Complaints about their voices matters less when a section gets apportioned to the singer best equipped to inhabit it. “What a Feeling” gives each singer his showcase, pathos ascending while a bass line pulls at the drums, very much in the vein of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.” When the chorus hits, the quartet blasts en masse. They’re not the Beach Boys (or Mac) but they understand how to build pathos. Even the brief, tense guitar solo fits. Temporary Fix” comes very close. But 1D’s swan song is hopelessly neither here nor there, appropriate to the drinking-age attention spans of an act whose solo careers beckon. For three years, One Direction have reinvested their dough in collaborators, like a corporation upgrading its supply line. Now they’re divesting, piece by piece.

This song in my mind is about having good times with you dearest friends who have been there through the good and the bad. It's saying how all the good conversations are "made in the a.m" because the don't know what there talking about and it could really be anything but there just content that there all with eachother having a laugh.
