One Direction: Where Do Broken Hearts Go? Meaning
Where Do Broken Hearts Go? Lyrics
Standing out from the list of the things I've done
All the rest of my crimes don't come close
To the look on your face when I let you go
So I built you a house from a broken home
And I wrote you...

#1 top rated interpretation:What I genuinely think is that this guy was messed up from the beginning and didn't know what he wanted and was was wasted until he found this girl that actually changed him for the better but due to who he originally was, which was 'a person who was reckless and made mistakes',he made thesame mistake but with something he didn't know was precious to him which was 'her', and that the guilt he felt about those past mistakes couldn't be compared to the guilt of sadness written on her face when he walked out on her.
He left her all alone in the world broken down and hurt which made her make mistakes of her own maybe. And she remembers all their fights and yells in where she had learnt to grow and actually love him but the pain and the memories kept hurting her which refers to the line 'so I built u a house from a broken home'
The guy thought hard about her because he still loved her and wanted things to work out so he thought about what she said, and all the tthings little things he didn't do and wrote a song about it which actually was hard but when he did, he knew how to make it all better again and fix up the mess he had done 'How to fix up a heart that I let down'
And so he tried finding her but it felt impossible, he'd call her but she wouldn't pick up. He knew he'd hurt her bad and broke her heart which made him wonder where she'd run to...where her heart would run to, but also hoping she wouldn't run to someone else just for a rebound because he still loved her and didnt want her making mistakes like he did -

#2 top rated interpretation:I guess it's about a boy regretting that he broke someones heart and really wants to get her back after he thought about it a lot. the only problem is, that he doesn't know where to find her

#3 top rated interpretation:I think it's about a guy who realized that he made a mistake about breaking his girl's heart and he's looking everywhere for her but he's not sure if she's alone or if she already moved on.

The song is about a guy that broke a girls heart but once they have been apart for a while he now realised that he made a mistake and wants her back, but he wonders is she will take him back or if she has already gotten over him and is with someone else.
*Note for the ladies*
If he broke your heart then he isn't worth your time, let him figure out his mistake on his own. -
So the boy messed up and wants a second chance. Boom! It's reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal simple! Simple to the imple! WHERE DO BROKEN HEARTS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
This song tell us that don't cross any body because you will regret one day.
-
It's about a girl/ guy who knows they messed up with someone who meant a lot to them. They want to fix their broken relationship, but they don't know if it'll make that person feel the same about them.
-
This song is about a fan, or a girl that the boy doesn't know very well. The band questions where the girl is, adding to the fact that they don't know her well. Also, the song asks if the girl is alone or with someone else, meaning that the speculation of this song being about Taylor Swift is untrue, as the singer would've known of such rumors. Lastly, interestingly, towards the end of the song the lyrics go "tell me cuz I'm ten feet down," which could refer to a fan's distance from the stage. Overall, it's about a guy that regrets letting a girl down, one that he later realized he was interested in, and now he's searching for her.
-
this song's meaning has a similar concept as over again. basically the guy broke up with the girl and the girl is heart broken. upon knowing this, the guy wants to get back with the girl.
-
to me it's about a couple breaking up.
he regrets it, wants her back, yet he doesn't know if she's alone or with somebody else already. he's looking for her everywhere, hoping.
