One Direction: You & I Meaning
You & I Lyrics
I figured it out
I figured it out from black and white
Seconds and hours
Maybe they had to take some time
I know how it goes
I know how it goes from wrong to right
Silence and sound
Did they ever hold each other tight like...
-
To me this song I'd about a relationship that has its ups and downs but when they're not together they just can't be themselves all the world just crashes behind them. As long as they're together there isn't no where they would rather be they are trying to be a unique couple and not trying to be like any of the others due to them thinking that it may not work out if they're following everyone else.
So remember don't copy to fit do what you want and your relationship will be fine as long as your with the right person that's all what matters. -
"I figured it out. I figured it out from black and white second and hours maybe had to take some time" I know now that we will be together forever.
" I know how it goes. I know how it goes from wrong and right silence and sound did they hold each other tight like us did they ever flight like us" I know we weren't together but we can try it again and we will make it work.
Basically the song is about true love. They had difficulties but they over come them. And together they can overcome anything. No matter how big or small. We will be with each other forever. Just like we should be. Hope this helped! -
My opinion is that this song is about long distance relationships. And i wanted to point out this part, I see what its like, i see what its like for day and night, never together, cause they see things in a different light like us, did they ever try like us?. It says they see a different light.... So they are trying to stay together even though people think they aren't suppose to be.

It can be about friendship or relationships. About a relationship or friendship thats just hard to keep going. I think Liam wanted this to be about Danielle. Zayn about Perrie. And Harry and Louis did not dedicate this to each other. (NOT a Larry Stylinston shipper and Im proud.) Niall I honestly have no clue.
-
I'm a Directioner. In my opinion, it's about strong relationships. And for each member of 1D they're different. I don't know about Niall, Liam and Zayn's relationships (with full confidence), but I truly believe that Harry and Louis dedicate this song to each other. Yes, I believe in Larry Stylinson :)
I love this song because it's very personal. -
It is about two people who love each other so much that nothing is able to stop them from loving each other because the bond is so strong, it even says 'not even the gods above can separate the two of us' clearly meaning they have a very strong relationship.
-
I'm a DIRECTIONER and I know that many of us think its about Larry Stylinson but in my mind i think its different for each of the boys. Like niall, for him it may be about his family( we all know how much he loves family) or food(i know carrot moment). For Liam it might be about Danielle because maybe he still has feelings for her (I ship Payzer). Zayn, it might be for Perrie. Harry and Louis maybe they're trying to get the message across but its not certain. So thats my meaning of this song.

Dealing with a break up and figuring out why it didn't work out.
-
I interpret this song as a girl who's parents are divorced and she's afraid her relationship is going to fall apart like her parents' and she's afraid to love. Her boyfriend is trying to explain to her that their relationship isn't like her parents', and he will love her no matter what happens. He's telling her that he won't give up as long as they both keep working at their relationship, because there isn't such a thing as a perfect relationship, but he wants to stay with her.
-
As I listen to the song and read the lyrics, this is what I have interpreted. I'm not saying I am correct, I am simply sharing my outlook on the song. It talks about what seems to be a struggling couple. I see this as a group rather than an individual relationship. In this world, so many relationships struggle and ultimately fall out. Society puts so much pressure on couples to have the perfect relationship, which is impossible to obtain. There is no such thing as pure perfection. The song is primarily about a single couple. It seems to me as if it is saying that they don't need a perfect relationship as long as they never give up on one another. Honestly, that is a key item in a relationship. Along with trust, honesty, and true feelings, you need someone who won't give up, no matter how hard it gets. To me, the song says that despite what society tells the particular couple, they won't give up on one another and they will always stay by one another's side, no matter the circumstances.
-
Okay I'm just looking at the lyrics and I think maybe this song is about a couple who have stayed strong while other people are breaking up and fighting around them and how no matter if they're fighting or not, there's something that keeps them together.
