OneRepublic: Made for you Meaning
Made for you Lyrics
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and
1 and 2 and 3 and 4
I was writing
Thinking with my long hand
Flippin the paper
Everything was sinking
Then I start to wonder
How you gonna handle me
When im under
Swimming...

An ''amazing'' great song, about and 4 any thinking person or more 4 a 'born again' Christian to now imagine and re- think God's biblical 4 corner earth and sea creation under the Firmament that was ''Made For You'' to live under His/Her protection and care, to enjoy life by making it right with Him/Her and with the ones[friends] that were put there in all the right places 4 you as your brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ now that has the kinda love of truth 4 you to truely feel, without those sci-fi spinning global lies that once have been deceiving your true feelings away from The Creator. so now as a sovereign and free 'born again' understanding individual, one doesn't want to get tangeled up with global ficticious lies anymore, especially if the other one still blindly believes and holds on to them.

This is probably not right, but it's what I got from this song. I don't get the entire meaning of the chorus or first part, but I think it is about a famous musician "writing with my long hand, put pen to paper". I'm not sure, but I think maybe their girlfriend, close friend, or relative may have just become a part of their lives again and they are starting to wonder how the friend is going to handle them when they are under, or indulged in writing deep music. The 'everybody want you to make' and 'can you feel all the love' parts could mean how the musicians are reacting to the fans' reactions to the music. They are basking in all the love from the fans. I think the musician is contemplating is this is the right thing to do when he says "everybody wants you to make it's all yours, everybody wants you to take it's all yours". The fame and glory is right there in front of him because the fans love him so much, they all want him to make it and take it. But it seems he is questioning himself, v cause he knows it is right in front of him, but his friend may be in the back of his head, and he knows he might loose them if he continues.
I think the next part is about how much the friend cares for the musician, but they aren't sure they are on board with his career or something else. The musician warns the friend "don't tell me lies or I swear you're gonna loose me". I think the musician wants the friend to tell him something like I love you, or I want to be with you and your career, or something else that can move him. He is scared the friend is going to lie because they are scared of the future, and he knows he can't be around someone like that.
Even though the musician doesn't completely trust the friend, he knows how much the friend cares for him. The friends devotion is "swimming inside" of the musician. But the musician is famous and is "big like an ocean". The fried is "jealous of the fish it feeds" which means they are jealous of all the love the musician gets from his fans. I love the part at the end about "all the right friends in all the right places and all the right moves and all the right faces" because it ties into All the Right Moves.
This is a wonderful song about the emotions a famous musician has when he has to juggle the fame and his friends or family. This could be completely wrong, but it's what I take from the song.
