Penelope Scott: Mommy Fwiend Meaning
Mommy Fwiend Lyrics
Just to hold the spot
Of every suicide hotline volunteer you ever called
I'm not your mom, and I'm not your therapist
And I'm not safe enough to take this risk
I don't wanna eat your dread
The very same way
That...

This song is about being the 'therapist friend' who deals with their friend going to the therapist friend when they have problems.
'You don't take the advice you f*cking use me for' this one is about the friend asking the therapist friend for advice and not using the advice. 'Under coercion, under the threat of your blood on my hands' i think this part is about being at risk because of the friend telling the therapist friend something that they shouldn't know about otherwise there might be consequences. 'I'd be so much less offended if you told me to go back into the kitchen' i feel like this part is about the therapist friend being fed up with being the one that people dump their problems on.

This song is about a woman who is reluctant to act as a "therapist" to her troubled friend. But, that's not all, she expresses how she really cares about her friend but doesn't want to be a "therapist" because she's "not trained for this". All the while she reminds the friend that she's not her "daddy" and "can't work through all your childhood trauma". She also reminds the friend that she doesn't want to "hold the spot of every mental health professional" that hare friend ever saw. Throughout the song it's clear that she's under coercion and her friend had "forced her into submission".
