Pierce the Veil: Stained Glass Eyes and Colorful Tears Meaning
Stained Glass Eyes and Colorful Tears Lyrics
And ended up here
Through stained glass eyes
And colorful tears
Fine...
Maybe I'll pretend right now
But I swear to God
I'm gonna change the world
And I promise you
Someday we'll tell ourselves
"Oh my God, this is...

My interpretation of "Stained Glass Eyes And Colorful Tears" by Pierce The Veil is that it means how perfect it will be when Vic Fuentes(the lead singer) finds "the one" (the perfect girl, true love, future wife,etc.).
I get this interpretation because:
vic fuentes has had alot of girls dump him or have the relationship not work out, this would support how hes kind of fantasizing (not in a sexual way..i think) about the perfect girl for him. You would notice that girlfriends arent working out for him if you listen to the lyrics of almost all songs. he often pours his tragic love stories into his songs, creating yet another masterpiece love song.
Pierce The Veil is a metal band and most metal bands(not meaning to be offensive) usually share an interest in hating the regular society. But i dont blame us, most of us are bullied because the majority of society cant handle difference. Back to the point, oops, in the song Vic sings "she holds them down while i destroy the world","desperate cries, and she dont seem to care" ,"oh my god this is paradise","i swear to god im gonna change the world". In most of these lyric quotes you get the vibe that Vic wants to make everyone love and accept him,his girlfriend, and lifestyle.
The last piece of evidence i have that this song is about finding the perfect one is because Vic says sweet names like"baby" "we", and says nice things like "i cherish my american girl" ,"i promise you", etc. . If Vic was just talking about everyone who likes bands and is scene/emo/or in that type of category i dont think he would have called us baby or his american girl..that'd be pretty sweet and sexy as hell to some girls and some guys but not sure guys are really able to be american girls..unless youre transgender (no offense i didnt mean to make that sound opion-ey or something).
Ok thats all the evidence and stuff i need to prove my interpritation. i hope you guys agree. i put alot of work and repeated ptv songs into this, hahaha. Oh and lastly, i didnt mean to offend anyone if i said something somewhere, feel free to curse me out or something (after all id deserve it if i offended you, actually just curse me out on kik so you dont seem mean. my kik is die.now ,dont ask just dont.).
Okay i promise im done, byeee :3 -
Vic said in an interview that its mostly about following your dreams and feeling the happiness of finally achieving them and being around people that you truly love.

I think maybe it's a guy saying that he's pretend to go by societys or her standards but he will be who he wants to be and make her think twice about judging him.
-
I think. That it could be about him and his girlfriend and how she doesn't believe in him and can be cruel and possibly can see right through him but he promises her he will change the world someday and make her see him in a new way and in a better way
