Pierce the Veil: The Boy Who Could Fly Meaning
The Boy Who Could Fly Lyrics
It's time to take you home,
it feels so early but I promised I would bring you to your door.
Now our lips are numb!
As we walk, sharing warm alcohol
That kiss tastes like summer.
I hope you like the stars I stole for you,
One...

#1 top rated interpretation:"We went back to our SoCal punk roots for this song. The entire thing is punk beats and super-fast guitar work. It's almost therapeutic for me to play, because it represents everything that we loved playing as kids. Mike [Fuentes] is the fastest single kick drum player I've ever seen, so this song features him in all his glory. The lyrics talk about an unhealthy co-dependent relationship in which I couldn't live without the other person because if you took her away, I would lose half of myself. It's about obsession and desperation, and the stupid things you do when you're in love. Musically it's the craziest, most intense song we've ever written."

Not true. The song about the guy and girl that held hands at the PTV concert is I Don't Care If You're Contagious. "Bury me in the bedroom where I can sing you to sleep all night."-its written as if the boyfriend is singing it to his girlfriend from heaven while he watches over her. The Boy Who Could Fly is purely about a co-dependent relationship. It's about the boy trying to be the light in the darkness and the knight in shining armour for the insecure girl, and she needs that to keep her alive. While he needs her love in return.

This is again another great song written by Pierce the Veil which is beautifully wrapped up in lyrics that convey one's love for another and cannot live without its partner whom takes up part of himself. As he realizes she is not sure of those feelings, he broken heartedly dies in a car crash with the memory of her.

I think its about how at a party a guy fell for a girl. They had a great time and when he drove her home she wasnt completely sure about her feelings so she went inside. Heart broken he drove off. Realizing her feelings she tries to catch up and tell him but he already died in a car accident

This song actualy has a background story. A girl and a guy were dating. They held hands for the first time at a Peirce The Veil concert. But the boy died in a tragic car accident, so yeah, the lead singer wrote a song about it... its very sad
