Wonderless...
-
I believe this song is about someone who doesn't know where to go after becoming someone to the world. Someone who doesn't know what to do with their life and doesn't know what to do if they don't become the person they have tried to be for so long.

honestly i think this song is about someone who wants to be famous and is lonely but feels like they have no talent. they hope they find someone who loves them by being famous but can't.

I think this song is about a movie star who gets lost in the glitz and glamour of fame, and forgets what's really important to him, love.
I think he had to make a decision to stay with his love or move to Hollywood to become a movie star. When he says "You're two faces locked on mine" could mean he thinks something was wrong with his girlfriend, so he takes a chance to try to be famous. Getting lost in the fame, he says "Maybe I'm a fake/Maybe you're to blame" because she made him want to leave her in the first place, even though he regrets it now, and his "mistakes won't leave [him] alone".
His plan doesn't exactly work out like it was supposed to, and he's not really getting as much recognition anymore. Everyone is starting to forget about him, even his girlfriend, which he still loves. That's why he says "And if you don't find me on the front page/Find a way to say that you saw me/And if you don't find me in a movie/Find a way to say that you knew me" because he wants people to remember him.
At the end when he says "If I could find a place for the holiday/Maybe I would call/You're a payphone away/From the mess that I've become/I'm destroying what I love" he could be trying to return to his girlfriend, but he can't find the courage to face her after what he's done, and he's not sure exactly what he should do because he destroyed what he loved.
Well that's my take on the song.
