Red: Best is Yet to Come Meaning
Best is Yet to Come Lyrics
Afraid to move on
Wishing I could go back when
Everything was easier and meaningful to me
Wanting all we left behind
Like its the answer
An hour glass we can't rewind
Holding back the life that I've denied...
-
Afraid that the good times in the past won’t happen again, doesn’t want to let go
Wanting to go back to the good times in life and get away from the struggle of life.
Looking at the past like it was and will be the only good time.
Time is the hour glass that cannot be rewinded
Focusing too much on the past and not allowing yourself to move on.
Talking to some one who has given him hope
All past events both good and bad
The pieces are the past mistakes
You always have time to make your future what you want it to be
Stop dwelling on the past and put it behind you
Some one who has inspired him is the reason he believes the best is yet to come
The “you” in this song is left to be interpreted by the listener. It could be anyone or anything that inspires you to move on. A religion, A friend, a parent, a sibling, or anything else.
I find religious meaning in this song. -
Just because this is a Christian band doesn't automatically mean it has to do with God.
Though, I think songs were meant for people to interpret and find comfort in in their own way, I think I'll share mine.
This song means a lot of things, and the words are just perfect. This song is perfect.
This song is a reminder that it's never too late. That you're still young, and if you think you have it good now, you should see what your future holds. Your future is beautiful, and you should never ever underestimate that.
Maybe you're in a relationship, and it isn't really going as planned. Maybe miles lie between you and the person you know for a fact you were meant to be with. Maybe life isn't going well, and you feel like you can't hold on any longer.
Whatever the case, never give in. Nothing of great measure ever came without patience and great struggle.
The Best is Yet to Come. -
Not everything is set in stone. Not everything is easy in life. You need patience and God's love to pass through the past and look toward the future. It' hard to let go of the things you really desire. However, anything is possible with God's love and love conquers all. We're unsure of so many things, but we need to move on and have no doubt.

This song is about leting go of the past and that god is with us.
-
a new believer is starting his new life. as he does he looks back to his earlier life. he thinks of how easy it was not having to follow the lord and work for him. he is doubtfull of the life to come. they are afraid to move on in life because we want what we wonce had, but we have a new life that is better in Christ.
-
This song could very well have many different interpretations, but I think it is about a person who has just come to know God, and they are viewing life in a different perspective than before, as you do when you are saved by the blood of Christ. Before, their life seemed whole and meaningful, yet there were times of darkness and sin, and they are afraid of the responsibility that they might have to face if they become a Christ follower. But, realizing life is nothing without Jesus, the person begins to accept that the "Best is Yet to Come".
