My adrenaline kicked in

This song is about Shawn finally being able to hook up with a girl he's had his eyes on for a while so when the first date comes he gets very nervous and lovesick around her and when he sees her.

I think this song is about a boy who likes this girl and he found out that she was asking about him
"I heard you asked about me through a friend"
and he is starting to have feelings for her and sense he knows shes asking about him hes getting a little nervous, excited and a little self-conscience
"I get a little bit nervous around you
Get a little bit stressed out when I think about you
    Get a little excited
Baby, when I think about you, yeah
Talk a little too much around you (I talk a little too much, yeah)
    Get a little self-conscious (I get a little self-conscious)"
And then he talks with her and he walks her to her apartment, and she invites him in but hes still nervous and still acting probably a little weird, but anyways he a kid who has a thing going on with a girl and he well gets a little nervous around her, so he wrote the song nervous saying how much he cares and whats to be noticed by her.
