Understand Lyrics

Am I asking all these questions for nothing?
I'm wondering if anyone's there, yeah
And I really need to make a confession
I hate to say that I'm a little bit scared, yeah

That I've been on this train too long
People getting off and...

I think this song is about getting to know yourself first before anyone else. Shawn is basically telling you to be yourself and don't change for anyone or let anyone change you.

Shawn wrote this song about himself. Most people told him he shouldnt change when he get famous. But Shawn always thought that he doesnt have to change in a bad way because he thought that he can change in a good way and that he can grow in himself.

I think this song is saying to be yourself and to not change for anyone. This song also can mean someone who is going through something that they just need time to understand who they are as a person!

I think this song is about Shawn's actually life. I mean, now that he's famous he doesn't have idea what's exactly happening in his life, he is afraid to forget his past life (before being famous), forget his friends and become into an empty person due to the fame. The last part when he's talking, for me, is about what had happened to him, his whole life changed but he says that, deep down he's the same person.
