Slayer: Angel of Death Meaning
Angel of Death Lyrics
The way that I want you to die
Slow death, immense decay
Showers that cleanse you of your life
Forced in
Like cattle
You run
Stripped of
Your lifes worth
Human mice, for the angel of death
Four hundred...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about the Holocaust and describes the activites of Josef Mengele from an objective position.
-
Its about Josef Mengele, The Infamous Nazi angel of death.
He preformed the worst ever recorded medical experiments on humans while working at the Auschwitz death camp. -
It's about Josef Mengele.
-
The song is about Josef Mengele (German scientist who worked for Hitler). He did all kinds of terrible experiments with Auswitz prisoners. This song was made to show how aweful it was to live in camps like those during the WW2.
-
When being under extreme torture in those chambers during WW2 a person being tortured would be understood to be praying very hard that an angel would come to help them die faster, rather than to experience another moment of the pain inflicted. Thus the angel of death was a sweet moment of hope, which thus explains the absolute horror of what they endured.

Dude that was 2nd or 3rd from the top, you're retarded. Jeff wrote the song. Stupid.
-
Just curious though -- given from the album REIGN IN BLOOD where this song serves as the opening track - I'm wondering with the Astoreth pagan-idol God being carried in the ark by Christ (depicted with a horn and a serpent tongue), the Pope (also with horns) - it's peculiar as to who could be the third figure located at the bottom left of the album cover with horns and broken wings ???
anybody who knows the answer - give me a holler. Thanks. -
This song is about the Nazi doctor Josef Mengele, who performed genetic tests on his subjects and also helped create the modern medical science of genetics today.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
