Wait And Bleed Lyrics

I've felt the hate rise up in me...
Kneel down and clear the stone of leaves...
I wander out where you can't see...
Inside my shell, i wait and bleed...

I've felt the hate rise up in me...
Kneel down and clear the stone of leaves...
I...

Ok now I have to finish my interpretation... I no the ohter one was long but o well, I like to get my point across. now were was i? o yea you wouldn't shake if you were dying of lack of blood, but I do no wen you would uncontrollably shake...IF YOU ARE BEING POSSESSED!!
then wen it says "I have to laugh out loud" if you were dying and you didn't want to, WHY WOULD YOU BE FRICKEN LAUGHING!?!?!?!?!? O WAIT U WOULDN'T!! IF U JUST LISTEN TO THE LYRICS U WOULD NO! AND IF U GET POSSESSED U WOULD LAUGH! U WOULDN'T REALLY BE LAUGHING THE DEMON INSIDE U WOULD LAUGH AT HIS SUCCESS OF CONTROLLING U!! that's why he ways he HAS to laugh out loud not WANTS to.duh. wow yall r kinda slow for maggots. anyway, that's not the point.the next point."get outta me head because I don't need this, why didn't I see this? I'm a victim." now how in the world does that pretain to suicide, its DOESN'T! IT PRETAINS TO BEING POSSEsSED! he's telling the demon to get out of his head because he doesn't need to be possessed. He didn't see that summoning a demon is gonna cause him to be possessed. He a victim of it. and the last part "and it waits for you!"he's talking about being possessed once again. and that angry voice in the background of the last chorus isn't him dying, its the echo of the demon speaking through him. so unless anyone gets some proof besides some little website that this is about suicide, I think yall just got owned by a 13 year old prep that goes to a christian school!! so =p not saying anything bad about maggots, seein that my closest friend is one. well I hope you see my point god bless you all.-peace

Ok, I'm not even a slipknot fan, I don't consider myself a maggot, this is one of the few songs I actually like by them seeing that I'm a christian and proud of it. but I don't need to be a maggot to realize what this song is saying. It has nothing to do with suicide...well in a way it does, but not normal suicide, but it can lead to his death. He is talking about preforming a ritual in a graveyard and being possessed after summoning a demon, its kinda obvious. Though I'm not satanic, I no a lot about it. If he was committing suicide in a bath tube, explain why the chorus say "I felt the hate rise up in me,kneel down clear the stone and leaves, I wonder out were you can't see."? you can't find the meaning of a song by one line"inside my shell I wait and bleed" and even that line suggests being possessed. wen your possessed, your not you, you have no control over yourself, your basically just a puppet of the demon, nothing but a shell. and for the rest of it, if you haven't realized, demons aren't the happiest things in the world, so if you were possessed, don't you think you would feel nothing but hatred? that's all demons are about, hatred and evil, I would no, I've seen them.then "kneel down clear the stones and leaves. There clearing a spot to preform the ritual. I've never done this, but I pretty much know the basics, find a graveyard(hence the fact that there would be spirits), draw a pentagram on the ground, put burning candles at the 5 points, and begin the ceremony of summoning demons. To do this, you would need to clear out a spot on the ground" clear the stones and leaves". He wonders out in the graveyards were he won't be seen "I wonder out were you can't see". now for the verses, "my eyes are red and gold, my hair is standing strait up, this is not the way I pictured me, I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here, something about this so very wrong, I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this". ok so far this whole song has been pretty self explanatory but w/e. His eyes are red and gold and his hair is standing up because HE IS GETTING POSSEsSED NOT DIEING! DUH =p. That doesn't happen if your dieing in a bath tube lol. why would you hair stand up?lmfao yall are dumb.just listen to the song.i can't control my shakes? you wouldn't shake uncontrollably if your were dying from lack of blood.... you would be DRAINED OF ENERGY, YOU COULDN'T SHAKE AROUND IF U WANTED TO! MUCH LESS UNCONTROLLABLY.

I would like to make a change to my interpretation. I no longer believe this song is about suicide. It is often imagined that right before someone dies from committing suicide, the person regrets it. However, most experts on suicide, who have interviewed people who tried to kill themselves, claim that people who commit suicide think no such thing, and that they were dead set on killing themselves. Because the song portrays a lot of panic and denial over the fact that the person is going to die, the song is not about suicide. Rather, the song is about a person who bleeds to death against his will. In addition, the lyrics to the song do not explicitly state that the person is bleeding to death from slit wrists. Even if other websites state that bleeding from the wrists is what the song is about, how does one know that the site got this information from a reliable source? And even if the site claims to have used the most reliable source one can think of (ex. a quote from the song writer himself), how does one know that the site is just making this up to get credibility? The lyrics are the most credible source for the meaning of the song, and the lyrics merely state "inside my shell I wait and bleed". He might have won a knife fight on the street and bled to death before he could help himself, or got shot by a motorcyclist and bled to death, or who knows. Something along those lines. The rest of my interpretation seems accurate. The bottom line is I no longer think that the song is about suicide and the person bleeding to death isn't necessarily bleeding to death from slit wrists.

I may be wrong, but I had recently a source on "Wait and Bleed." In an interview from Slipknot, the song has no meaning. It just depends on whoever is reading it. It being abbout a suicide is just a rumor.

Wait And Bleed -Back To Top
Wait and Bleed is about a man who is dreaming that he is lying in a bathtub bleeding to death from his wrists. As the song progresses, the man realizes that he, in fact, isn't dreaming, and he just "waits and bleeds".

This is why someone said bathtub people. 'Cuz it came from an actual site. A slipknot sit with a hole other bunch of slipknot shit.

yea you shouldn't post song meanings from other sites if you go to a site that has people talking about them. we all have our own interpretations on what songs mean that is what makes if fun to post on this site to begin with

I believe this song is about Corey wanting to have sex with his girlfriend, but he can't because she is on her period. Therefore, he must "wait" while she "bleeds". This also makes sense, because when he has an orgasm, his hair is standing straight up.

I honestly think that when any band writes a song they write it based on their feelings, an inncident etc...
how you wish to interpret it is totally up to you, relate it to urself there's lots of meanings to a lot of songs... and geez dnt get all shitty if sum1 has it wrong...

You're all stupid. If you go to the Slipknot website, Corey says that he attempted suicide in a bathtub by slitting his wrists and wrote Wait and Bleed based off of that. Go to metabolic666.com and look it up. I'm the biggest maggot there is
