Smashing Pumpkins: Ava Adore Meaning
Song Released: 1998
Ava Adore Lyrics
You will always be my whore
You'll be the mother to my child
And a child to my heart
We must never be apart
We must never be apart
Lovely girl you're the beauty in my world
Without you there aren't reasons...

To me, Ava Adore is obviously about a relationship with one of Billy Corgan's baby mommas. Chris Fabian probably based on the timing of the songs recording and the couple's break up. My favorite part of the video is the second time Darcy says "We must never be apart" and goes crosseyed. She means something by doing that (not sure what though).

Moron, this man is a heroine addict. No more is needed to be said.

I believe this song depicts what its like to be in a sour relationship. Often someone can be insecure and possessive in a relationship ("we must never be apart") yet still act as if they are superior to their significant other ("I'll pull your crooked teeth so you'll be perfect just like me.") Also I think it shows how even when the other cleans up our messes or does things for us, it goes unnoticed ("dressing coffins for the souls i left behind.")
Just my opinion on the interpretation! I could be totally off since poetry was one of my worst subjects. -
I think that there talking about what it truly means to be married to some one and how emotions in the marriage between a man and a women are so intertwined that the couple takes and gives both negative and positive emotions, for better and for worse, it basically talks about wat it "really" means to be married, that your loved one becomes a whore to u, (which is stated in the song), and another good quote would be that I'd crash cars, which means Id crash to protect u because I love u

This is one of my favourite songs. I relate to it alot....the very first two lines to me are what make the song, that i love you but treat u like ur nothing kinda attitued is what reminds me of my ex. He use to treat me poorly but yet i knew he loved me. To me, what i get from this song is a man who deeply loves a woman but wont let his kindness be shown as it might be mistaken for weakness, he demands "we must never be apart"
