A Day to Remember: All Signs Point to Lauderdale Meaning
Song Released: 2011
All Signs Point to Lauderdale Lyrics
And all my friends don't give a fuck
They'll tell me that it's just bad luck
When will I find where I fit in?
2, 3, 4!
Remember when I tried?
I never strayed too far from you
Forever by your side
No...

This song is about being stuck in a small town.
When Jeremy Mckinnon says"I hate this town it's so washed up and all my friends don't give a fuck they'll tell me it's just bad luck when will I find where I fit in?"he's saying that his friends don't really give a fuck, they think it's just him, because they all fit in.
When Jeremy Mckinnon says"Remember when I tried?I never strayed to far from you forever by your side no matter what I was going through but ow I,never know the things to say to you somethings always wrong."he's saying that it could be that a friend and/or girlfriend the relationship ended, and now it's just really awkward between them, and Jeremy doesn't know what to say to him/her,and that he always says something wrong. -
They're not talking about Ft. Lauderdale, that are talking about Lauderdale, al or tn. One of the shittiest places in America.

it's a song about a guy that is in a small town with not alot to do and he has this girl, who no matter what, he can seem to get away from. She's f***king up everything he had originaly intended for his life. But sadly even though he tries over and over he cant seem to escape her or this small town he's caged in,even when everything's s**t and he needs out more then anything in the world. hense the line "forever by your side no matter what i was going threw" Now because of her he hates this small town because of the bad memories and the heart ache of haveing to leave the above mentioned girl, whom hes secretly still madly in love with by the way, just to get his life back on the track he wants it to be on. hense the line "no one comes between me and my plans"...not even the girl he loves with all his heart and all his friends in that small a** town. but all his friends think he's over reacting to the whole situation and he should be happy to have what he does so they don't give a f**k that he's being a sad sack about it and he feels seperated from everyone and everything he once knew, and held so dear, by his angst and appathy... and that's where the chourus is derived from.

♪♪♪I think Its about a teenager who doesn't fit in with his peers and lives in A sh*t town. Noone sees it as he does so they kind of don't care about him much anymore. He wants out of that town and to move on to a place where he is accepted.
I relate perfectly, im just a girl Who is shuned at school, the mall, at home, everywhere i go who wants out of this hell-hole. LET ME OUT! I HATE THIS TOWN!♪♪♪ -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

The song appears to be about a teen stuck in a one horse town where he/she is considered different by their peers and and is tired of going through charades to be accepted. They just want to pack their bags and get the hell out.

I think this song is about wanting to get out of a small town and wanting to leave and find where one belongs, which i think we all can relate to. In my opinion, it was inspired by the town Ft. Lauderdale in Florida and, being right next to the ocean, one with this kind of dream would want to get out and explore the world knowing there's something somewhere on the other side of that ocean. (:
