A Day to Remember: The Downfall of Us All Meaning
Song Released: 2009
The Downfall of Us All Lyrics
It's not easy making a name for yourself
Where do you draw the line?
I never thought I'd be in this far
Let's have some fun and never change not for anyone
Try not to miss me when I'm gone
(Whoa uh oh, whoa uh oh)
I sold my soul to...

#1 top rated interpretation:This is a freaking amazing song. didn't know what it was about though until I read the lyrics. To me it's about wanting to see more of the world. "I sold my soul to the open road* means that he's doing whatever he can to get out of the town and the life he's in. Whatever happens to him happens because all he wants is the open road in front of him. "This town will be the downfall of us all" is basically if we stay here we die miserable"
-
This song is about thinking the town he's in is no good for him and he wants someone to come with him, that's what I think it means when he says"You won't find me in the same spot, believe me,I could never stop my life's turned upside down meet me out past the train tracks I'm leaving and not coming back, you're right and I was wrong, this town will be the downfall of us all."at least that's what it seemed like to me

I think this song means someone told him this town would not be good, hence 'you're right and i was wrong' 'you won't find me in the same spot- meet me out past the train tracks, im leaving and not coming back' He's leaving this town realizing its no good for him.
-
To be honest I completely agree with this one. It does seem to be about how he needs to get out and about in the world.
If he doesn't he'll be miserable in the town he's currently in.
He wants more in life and wants to take what he can getbefore his time is up.
