This is my favorite song and I think it’s about anxiety trying to figure out the right moves to make cause life is very complicated and i admit with open hands I can’t figure it out I’m angry scared and it is “battle ground” cause they say life isn’t easy

This song is about people talking shit on ADTR before they became a big band "They told me how I should be, But i broke the mold somehow" and then trying to make amends "it's too late, too late, you keep trying to resolve the past right now"

In this song what i think he is saying is his life is not going the way he planned and the thing that didn't help out was his partner cheating on him and then he realized he spent most of his life with that partner so he lost years to himself so he is looking for something to give him those years back.

Basically, the person he loved cheated on him, hurted his feelings and technically lied about themselves so that he could feel sympathy or empathy towards his partner but then when he finds the truth about his partner, he wants to show everyone else she's no good.
