A Day to Remember: You be Tails, I'll be Sonic Meaning
You be Tails, I'll be Sonic Lyrics
best way to describe it
I leave no time to myself
the only way I can fight it
When I'm alone it's like
I'm staring into a mirror
Don't know the person inside it
and that's never been any clearer
I miss our...

Actually, the lyrics in this song are more or less the narrator asking a romantic partner to just be friends. Hence 'You Be Tails, I'll Be Sonic', makes perfect sense, because Sonic and Tails were friends. The title is creative and insanely clever, and is the equivolent to 'I Think We Should Just Be Friends'.

What he's saying in the title is basically, Fuck off, you be Tails, I'll be Sonic. Because we all know Sonic is badass, and Tails is lame. So basically he's telling someone off. I dig the video game reference.

Originally in sonic 2 tails was a girl and the games theme song was a love song about sonic and tails. But it was later changed and its hard to find the song in its original form it was later redone by akon for sonic 2006. The song may just be talking about the "female tails" or perhaps the song is talking about a girl who had a sex change. Or it may be talking about an extremely close friend of his. Since tails often calls sonic big bro. And the two are best friends. But its possible the title means nothing.

To the person who asked:
A good song. It refers to Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails, but the lyrics are weird and don't seem to work with the title. Can you tell me the correlation?
Most A Day To Remember songs, or any songs from a post-hardcore band don't usually have songs that have anything to do with the title, like "Hey John, What's Your Name Again?" By The Devil Wears Prada.
