Adele: Someone Like You Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Someone Like You Lyrics
That you found a girl and you're, married now
I heard, that you're dreams came true
I guess she gave you things
I didn't give to you
Old friend, why are you so shy
Ain't like you to hold back
Or hide...

It's about her lovong someone, and wanting them, but they she never took her chance with him, sand he ended up with someone else, and now, she's hoping against hope that either he will fall for her or she will find someone just like him. It's the same.situation I'm in now, I'm in love with a girl, and I had a chance with her, but I waited too long, so now she's with someone else, and I just hope she's happy, because as long as she's happy, I'm happy.
-
U love me. I love u with all my heart but what fears me is that u won't love me as much as u love him I dont want to be second . If my love is not good enough for u, tell me now so it wont hurt as much . Your feelings and heart is in two different places. I understand u these past few days and your heart is not a hundred percent to me. Just be honest with me.
-
it means that you have to let him go even if you love that person..' never mind i found someone like you, interprets that she wont be able to find another guy like him..
-
Adele runs into an ex that meant so much to her and sees how well he is doing.he is happy with someone else and she wants his happiness more than them to be together. but she wants him, so she says she will find someone like him to fill the longing void in her heart.
-
It says that his new wife gave him what she couldn't. Maybe she couldn't have kids or something, and she could.
-
I believe that the this song is about her always waiting for the right guy and he never comes along and then she realizes that the person that she loved is doing well in life without her. Like shes 40 and still alone and hes married with a beautiful family. She still cares about him and wishes him the best in life without her. Its sort of the opposite of rolling in the deep where she says that he'll be nothing without her when really if she thinks about it,he will move on.
-
Adele has said in an interview that the song when she wrote it, she could "imagine her self being about 40 and looking for him again only to turn up and he's settled, has a beautiful wife, some beautiful kids, and he's completely happy, and I'm still on my own." She was "felling pretty miserable and pretty lonely" she said that it contradicts Rolling In The Deep as in that she said "It was kind of like I'm gonna be fine without you, this one (someone like you) is kind of on my knees with you."
-
Firstly she's still in love with her dream boy but she's found out he's married and moved on. "Never mind i'll find someone like you" She wishes, hopes and dreams. They have grown up together. When she shows up he just dosnt fill the connection between the both of them. She "BEGS" he won't forget her. She has found alot of power to move on. She wishes him well. But is still hurting.
-
This song is about the way you build someone up to be something they are not. Straight after a break up you tend to focus on all the good things; the happy times, yet forgetting the bad and the reasons for breaking up. You want to find that happy feeling again not necessarily a replica of your unrequited love.

i love your musik a lot thats my favorite song and rolling in the deep are like my favorite song of you and some others

So if i've heard correctly adele can't have kids.
her boyfriend and her had tried but they found out she couldn't so he left her.
'i've heard that you've settled down'
- he found another girlfriend.
'that you've found a girl, and you're married now.'
'guess she gave you things, i could't give to you'
- because she could'nt give him a baby and the life he wanted, but his new wife could.
'old friend why you so shy, it aint like you to hold back or hide from a lie'
- he was embarresed when he was confronted about it, so he lied and told them it just wasn't working out.
This is why her songs are so meaningful and so many people can relate to them, she has an amaing voice and she's beautiful.
I cried hearing this, even if this may not be true. It hurts to know that there may be many women out there who go through the same thing. (the love of there life leaving them because she can't provide him with a family) it's sad and it sucks. -
this song was the hardest for adele
it is about her past realtionship and that she can see him at 40 all grown up married and has kids and she wil still be alone -
This song is about a deep relationship that didn't last, however she can't get over him and doesn't want him to forget her....even though she wishes him the best (because thats the right thing to say)
If you have ever had a deep connection in a past relationship, even if you have moved on or are married....this song will still hurt your heart. -
She had a very serious, intense relationship when she was younger and was very much inlove. Unfortunately they were too young and fickle to realise it was special and make it work. Later in life, Adele looks back realising he was he soulmate and makes enquiries only to find he has moved on and married someone else. She can't let it go so she purposefully "runs into him" to see how he might feel. Regardless of how he feels he shows her he has moved on and is subdued with her. Not quite the reunion she was hoping for. Adele returns to her normal life but realises the regret of past decisions won't be easy to forget.
-
Adele cannot get over her true love even though he's married and has kids know. Constantly, she is reminding herself never mind I'll find someone like you. She wishes the best for her love and hopes to find someone like him.
