Alec Benjamin: Demons Meaning
Demons Lyrics
Nobody can see them, nobody but me, and you're the reason
The only thing that keeps me from diving off the deep end
Because I've got all these demons, demons, demons, mhm
Well, at first I thought...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think it means that he has all these insecurities, and this other person, either a lover or a close friend helps him go through it and that this person is the reason he doesn't end his life. There was a time he forgot about this person, but he realized his mistake and so back to them. This song is basically him thanking that person for always being with him through the hard times.

To me Demons is about a boy who thinks bad things about hi.self and he calls them his "Demons" because they are cruel. He is talking to either a romantic partner or very good friend for counseling and to say thank you for them always being with him.

You’re hurting, but to admit you are hurting is to say you are weak and nobody understands that it means you are defeated if you tell someone about your demons and fears. You can’t ask for help when you can’t tell someone that a problem exists. Your demons are real to you, but others think you are overreacting, so you can’t explain to them. Then you remember there’s someone there for you so you guilt yourself into staying.

I believe it means that the song means- I’ve got all the things I’m hiding under a smile and that the only thing keeping him going is someone and that he has all these problems he need to sort out first
